About this cottage rental
Our restoration cottage is next to the main house. It is Two-bedroom, one full bath, full kitchen and living spaces. There is a Hot tub for winter guests and a pool for summer guests. There is a pool table in the main space and lounge chairs to relax around the pool. There is a fire pit outside and playground by the pool. Around the back of the house there are beautiful views of the rolling hills countryside. We are just a short walk from the river. There are many quaint restaurant's, parks, and nearby river access points. New Braunfels and San Marcos are not too far away either! Spend this time getting refreshed and make it a time to remember!

The Property has a very nice layout and decorated beautifully. I would have preferred a few more towels (we never found the pool towels). There is also minimal kitchen supplies and only one roll of toilet paper.

The cottage was very clean, easy access to everything. The pool was a great added bonus! Very nice and quiet area where this is located, very family friendly! The host was easy to communicate with as well. Definitely would stay here again

Weeks before our trip I messaged the owner and she did respond and was friendly. Before arrival & during our stay not a word, which is opposite of VRBO's email. When we walked into the house it smelled musty and we had to sweep the floors and wipe down counters. Cleaning is basic, we found a wrapped slice of cheese on top of the stereo rack in the living room, we wondered how long it's been there. There were dishes, pots & pans etc like stated, (hubby loved one of the frying pans) but no garbage bags, limited other household items such as only 6 towels. The book inside says use the white towels inside and the others around the pool, there was only 6 white towels. We placed a delivery order to get towels, toilet paper, dish soap, garbage bags, paper towels etc. The two bedrooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. I wish I had known that the "sleeps 6" included the couch the description is vague. Everyone loved the pool table. The wifi is not very good. The pool and hot tub/spa were both dirty which was very disappointing. The shower pressure was great but the shower head goes where it wants to & has black mold, the toilet is very loose and moves when you sit down. The washer is very quirky, once you figure it out it works ok. We ended up leaving a day earlier than we planned because the kids wanted to swim and didn't want to swim in the dirty pool. We never heard from the host to even question why we left early. Picture's do not show just how close the houses are.
