**HOUSE IS A DUPLEX: Each floor is rented separately. LOWER UNIT: This gorgeous waterfront duplex is located on a quiet, serene inlet, adjacent to the Barge Canal with access to Oneida Lake. Perfect for boating, kayaking, and fishing. Floating EZ dock system. Both units available to rent together upon request and availability. Each unit has large eat-in kitchen, equipped with large/small appliances, Keurig, washer/dryer, grill, large deck, floating dock, and kayaks/life jackets for all. Included in rental are linens, towels, free Wifi, 3 large screen Samsung tv's and lounge chairs. Sleeping Arrangements: 2 bedrooms with Queen beds, 1 folding cot Streaming Services: Spectrum Cable, Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Prime Video Walking distance to beach, restaurants and nightlife. 18 minute drive to Turning Stone Casino. Come relax at the Kayak Shack!

Beds were comfy. Very nicely kept and clean. Many things provided should you need them like shampoo etc. Easy access. Very responsive host.

Place was perfect. Had everything we needed and everything went super smooth. Had never been on this lake before and it was a beauty. Nice small town. Only stayed a weekend off season but would definetly go back again. Highly recommend.

The interior and exterior are well maintained. It was convenient to restaurants and casinos if interested. Most activities in the summer months, but mid Sept perfect for us.
Our primary interest was the dock situated right in front of the property since we have a boat. I'd recommend this is communicated if both upstairs and downstairs guests have a boat. Ours was 20 foot and there was some extra room, but not enough for two vessels.
We had a great time and would return.

This was an excellent condo in beautiful condition with a lot of nice extras in walking distance to a lot of great places in town. I highly recommend staying at this location.

Fantastic location. Right on the water, walking distance to everything. With being a block from the main road, this place was very quiet. The kids loved being able to fish right off the back dock. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was exactly as shown in the pictures. Amenities, views, kayaks, and location were all amazing. My kids loved fishing off the docks and kayaking. The beach, restaurants, and stores are all within walking distance and we would go back and forth all day long. Pirates Weekend was also a blast (did not know this was happening until after we booked, pleasant surprise). The property is well mantained and everything was neat and clean. Owner was very accommodating and didn't have any issues feeling safe and secure.

Perfect location to where we wanted to go. From going to the beach to watch the sunset to getting ice cream after dinner. My grandchildren learned how to navigate a kayak. We even were able to fish off the dock. It was a great stay in a great place. I would definitely go there again. Very comfortable and relaxing.

Everything with this property was very nice. Nice location, nice kayaking location, nice owner.
My only complaint, and the owner may not be aware, is the cleanliness of the property. While cleaning up, we pulled the bags out of the trash cans, the cans themselves were dirty. There were dust bunnies under the furniture. My son found an article of doll clothing under the couch, left by a previous guest that cleaners did not find. When we pulled the roll a way bed out of the closet there were dust bunnies and debris in the closet.
I don’t think a cleaning fee is unreasonable, however I would expect to find the property cleaned better than I did.

The property was great and as described. It is newly redone and clean and worked well for my family (two adults and one child). Having the waterfront and kayaks was great. When the unit upstairs is occupied, footsteps are heard, but it was ok for us. This is a nice nature getaway watching birds along the water and seeing tons of stars on clear nights.

Beautiful 5 star place ! Highly recommend. Great location, everything was new, super clean. Stephanie put a lot of thought & care in to ensuring guests are comfortable. There were lots of little extras. Also appreciated the central A.C. after coming in from the lake. Most days it was 95 & above. Definitely will stay again.

Perfect location for a Sylvan beach getaway. Access to the cove for kayaking and very short walk to the beach and charming little beach town. My only complaint would be that in the downstairs apartment you are able to hear every footstep of those upstairs.

Perfect Place Near the Lake!
We had a great weekend spend at this VRBO and truly enjoyed how close it was to anything and everything in the beach. The kayaks were an added bonus, we really enjoyed paddling up and down the canal and into the lake.

Beautiful property with all the amenities. Even better than pictured, clean, great location. On the water with kayaks available, so peaceful and serene location. Great, responsive host. I've never booked through VRBO but the process was smooth and the rental exceeded my expectations.

A wonderful experience from beginning to end.Stephanie is a very gracious & attentive host who responded quickly to all our questions .This two bedroom beauty is lovely.It’s bright and cheery and very clean,pristine would be an appropriate adjective to describe it.It has all the ammenities to make your stay very comfortable and convenient.All appliances are great including a washer & dryer.We enjoyed watching the ducks swim from the deck and boaters waving as they passed by.We walked to the nearby restaurants and enjoyed absolutely everything about our week .We will definitely return….

The house was perfect and it was awesome to get out on the kayaks as the weather allowed. One interim note of caution for 2021, they are building a community set to open in 2022 right across the canal from the house and they start daily bright and early. :)

We had a great stay at the kayak shack. The location is perfect for exploring the canals and lake in available kayaks, beach was a very short walk and restaurants are super convenient. Extremely easy check in and great communication from Stephanie the owner. The unit is well stocked as well. We hope to return next summer.
