The newly constructed property features a reverse floor plan to maximize the views of the ocean, luxurious finishes throughout, and numerous outdoor spaces for relaxing and entertaining. Plus, you're more than welcome to use all of the beach gear! You'll be blown away by the breathtaking vaulted ceilings and meticulously designed open floor plan upstairs at Sandy Paws. There are two porches that can be accessed from this floor, one on the beachside with rocking chairs to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktails and the other with an outdoor dining table that seats 6. Inside, you'll find the main living area is beautifully decorated with a large flatscreen TV and leather couches that have reclining functions. The well-appointed kitchen boasts a large center island with bar seating, granite countertops, a high-end gas range, stainless steel appliances, custom cabinetry, and all the supplies needed to prepare a meal for your group. There's also a formal dining space with seating for 7 along with a half bathroom. The bright and airy ambiance extends into the master bedroom, where you will find the ocean views, a luxurious king bed, large flatscreen TV, and ensuite bathroom with double vanity and a spacious walk-in shower. All 3 of the guest bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, and a double bunk room) are located downstairs; each designed as a private retreat with ensuite bathrooms, flatscreen TVs, and ceiling fans. Additionally, you will find a full size pull out couch in the den. Outside, there's an incredible wood-burning fire pit to gather around on those cooler nights! Kids, furry family members, and the young at heart will love being able to roast marshmallows and make s'mores in the backyard. For the grill master in your family or group, there's a gas grill included. There's even an outdoor shower on the ground floor to rinse off after a day at the beach. To top it all off, this house comes complete with an elevator for those who may have difficulty with stairs or to assist with moving your belongings in and out of the home. There are truly too many other amenities to add — including wireless internet access should you need to stay connected during your stay. Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more! The choice is yours! To get you started we provide a welcome kit that includes trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher pod, washing machine pod, soaps, and shampoo/conditioner. As you will find when selecting dates on the calendar, there are minimum stay requirements based on the season. There is a 7 night minimum with a mandatory Saturday to Saturday rental pattern in the peak summer months, and there is more flexibility in the slower seasons. We had a great stay at this property. It was in walking distance to Publix and several shops. The beach access was close. The house was very clean with plenty of seating. We very much appreciated the many yard games that were available to us. The property manager was very responsive. We would love to stay again.

We had a fantastic experience! The house is gorgeous and you cannot beat the location! We were able to walk everywhere and the beach is just steps away! The outdoor fire pit was such a bonus for s’mores! The elevator was also a major hit with folks who needed to avoid stairs. My pup was super happy with the fenced in backyard which made the trip that much better! Check in /out process was seamless and we even had sweet daily messages telling us to enjoy our stay! Would highly recommend!!!

The Best Beach Rental for Family at OKI!

Sandy Paws has. it. all! Our entire family stayed for a whole week and this house was perfect. It is only a few minutes walk from the beach and grocery store so the location was also a huge perk. Our dogs were extremely comfortable and the house met the needs of everyone in our family. We had babies (9 months, 16 months and 4 years) all the way up to my grandparents (76 and 85 years old!). The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and there were plenty of places for everyone to sit and eat. There is a pack n play and high chair in the bunk room closet. The house came with games (ladder ball, corn hole and bocce) as well as 4 beach chairs, a beach cart and beach tent. There was a gas grill with extra propane tank, keurig coffee pot and even a crock pot for us to use. The linens being provided was also extra convenient. This house was extremely well kept and clean. We rented a golf cart from Sunfun rentals to be delivered to the house for our stay and this allowed us to easily ride to the splash pad/park, restaurants and shops which were only a few minutes away! I would highly recommend this house to any family that is considering coming to OKI!

Unexpected start but great ending

Our stay started off a little rocky with the first rental, having maintenance issues during a holiday weekend. Rob and Jessica were excellent with guest care and able to move us to another available rental for the remainder of the stay. Sandy Paws was a true delight! The convince of Publix nearby, elevator to assist with luggage , great wide beach entrance, the home itself was comfortable well kept and spacious. Love the balcony’s and a chefs dream kitchen. Our family truly appreciate all this home provided, from the modern yet approachable atmosphere to the open space with more than enough room for the 10 of us to be together at the same time. The fenced in backyard was a selling point to keep our furry friends safe so they too could enjoy some out doors time roaming the yard while we sat by the fire ring. Our family truly appreciate this trip and cannot wait to be back on Oak Island.

The house was beautiful, dog friendly, beds were very comfortable, very short walk to the beach, ocean views, loved the gas cooktop, fenced yard, very convenient to everything! We had a much needed relaxing vacation!
