Nestled in Quechee, this lovely house for $453 per night is a great choice for your next break. Mountain View Retreat is truly your home away from home for "Your Vermont Vacation". This bright, airy and comfortable family-friendly home features 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and 2 inviting living spaces, and can accommodate 10 overnight guests. A well appointed kitchen will make any chef happy. The dining room and breakfast bar has space for you and your guests, and opens into the living room that boasts floor to ceiling windows. Cozy up in front of the fireplace tucked into the fieldstone hearth, or relax and watch a movie on the smart tv. The huge wrap-around deck with BBQ grill offers even more space to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Roast marshmallows for s'mores at the firepit in the evenings while you stargaze. Convenient to many ski mountains, with the nearest being less than 10 minutes away. One of two spacious master bedrooms with king bed and a full ensuite bathroom is on the main level. A convenient powder room is adjacent to the main living space. A second living room in the bright and airy walkout lower level has a smart tv, games, and comfortable seating for all ages to enjoy. The second master bedroom with king bed and ensuite bathroom with shower, two more bedrooms (one with a queen bed, the other with full over full bunks with a twin trundle), and another full bathroom are also on the lower level. There are mini split a/c units in the dining room and the main floor master bedroom. There is an Amazon Alexa device for music, weather, etc. Washer and dryer with detergent are available for your use as well. And when your visit is over, you won't have a (literal) laundry list of chores as part of your check-out. And the best part? No cleaning fees!

This was our first trip back to Vermont since our dads died in 2016 and we had great expectations. Close to town and the location was perfect. The house was dated (especially the downstairs bedrooms) and there were just some things that were a little off. According the the host, the cleaning lady was sick prior to our arrival. That meant the towels were still in the laundry, there were numerous light bulbs burned out, the one thermostat needed new batteries and plenty of leaves on the front walkway leading into the house. The reviews were right that the garbage disposal still didn't work and just some of the things weren't attended to. Our family did enjoy the spacious layout as they all had their own space and we enjoyed our time as a family. However, we feel that for the price of the rental, there were just too many 'little things' not attended to.

Beautiful location for our family trip and would absolutely recommend the house! We used the house as our hub while driving in/around VT & NH to enjoy the fall scenery. Location was great & we didn't need to travel far to enjoy gorgeous views. The house was pretty much as expected but the little extras (like coffee, filters & creamer) was such a pleasant surprise! Also enjoyed the easy check out process. We weren't aware of the couple steps up/down in the living room to the main level bedroom (only concerned as one of our family members had recently undergone foot surgery). They were easy for her to handle, just making sure others are aware (I may have missed them in the description!). Beds were super comfy, the house smelled clean and the housekeeper did a great job. We had a small issue with the heat (there was no access to turn it up) but the owner/manager responded VERY QUICKLY with an immediate quick fix which was greatly appreciated!! We stayed at another house after this on our trip and the lack of responsiveness made our stay here even more pleasant!! Thanks for sharing your home!!

Overall this house was fine. We had enough space for our group of two families with four kids ages 5, 6, 7, and 9. There were some conveniences we appreciated such as the shampoo, conditioner, and soap in the bathrooms, laundry detergent, and microwave popcorn. Emilie was very responsive, including sending someone out to repair the shed which was damaged when we arrived. Now for the downsides… The garbage disposal was broken and the grill was in rough shape. There were no extra linens available - we only had access to limited towels and the sheets on the beds, everything else was in locked closets. This house is also located pretty far up the hill, so it felt like a bit of a shlep to get anywhere including to the Quechee Club.

Very comfortable, spacious, and convenient. We booked two houses from Emilie and Clint and had no problem hosting everyone in this one for dinners/games. Very convenient to Quechee and everything the Woodstock area has to offer. We would definitely stay here again.

Great property, perfect for extended family stay

This property was perfect for a long weekend visiting family in the area. The layout of the house was great and stair gate and high chair were provided for our 1 year old. My toddlers loved the big double bunk beds. It’s a bit of a drive from anywhere but that area of VT is generally quite spread out so not sure you can get more central. We did lots of fun things within a 20-60 min drive. Only frustrating thing was that the original info we were sent said 4pm check-in and 11am check out but last minute info then said 3pm check in and 10am check-in but plans were easily tweaked.
