JJ’s Hana Hale is a air conditioned 1 bedroom cottage, conveniently located near idyllic Hana town near the tiny Hana Airport in a historic district Hawaiian’s call: Ka’eleku, we’re on 6 verdant acres (turn left near the 31 mile marker on the legendary Hana Hwy). We live on the property, dedicating a large portion of it as a sanctuary for neglected animals. All are tame and very friendly. We encourage our guests to feel comfortable, enjoying their compan

Seriously, this was such an amazing place to stay! The lodging itself was great with plenty of room, WiFi, refrigerator, oven, laundry, etc. But the real joy was the property itself and all the animals! There are chickens, geese, ducks, goats, dogs, horses, cows, a pig, a mule, etc. So unique and amazing.

Super friendly host greeted us as we arrived. The place was clean and as described. Really cool to be around the animals during our stay!

This is a unique and super special experience to stay in a beautiful place, interact with wonderful animals, and meet a very kind host. Comfy bed, plenty of room, lovely little kitchen, convenient into town - just could not be better!

Decent enough- seemed like nice people and I was comfortable but a few things could have really made this place a gem- the bikes weren’t in working order- couldn’t pump up the tires. Part of why we picked this place was having access to bikes. Also, the cottage smelled like cat pee and could have been cleaner. Also lock on door didn’t work and I got spooked out about safety. Fresh egg breakfast was nice.
