The outdoor space is decent. The turf smelled of dog urine, though. The hot tub water was yellow, then on our last day of the stay the person that maintains the hot tub came by to put chemicals in, if he hadn’t it didn’t appear usable. The thermostat did not work so we were unable to use the heater in the morning when the house got to 57 degrees overnight. The posting says it is “accessible”.. assuming that means ADA accessible but there are 2 steps to get in the entrance so it definitely is not. There were no extra blankets or anything to use besides the comforter from the bed to keep warm when on the couch. The listing claims to be a king and a queen ed but the guest room was most definitely a full bed and the pillows were unusable due to being enormous so we ended up just sleeping on the couch.

This was a clean and simple rental in a quiet PB neighborhood, within easy walking distance of Von's/Trader Joe's and many restaurants on Garnet. It's a 30-minute walk to the PB Boardwalk on mostly residential streets. We received a free early check-in and the door code worked flawlessly (which is not always a given!). A parking spot is provided in the driveway. The kitchen had the basics, the smart TV worked well with free Netflix (a treat for us), and the patio was private (though in the enclosed front yard) and was very comfortable with a table, chairs, umbrella, a propane fire pit, and a hot tub. We only used one bedroom but the primary room's memory foam type mattress was very comfy. We try a different rental each time that we visit, but this one is now on our "return" list.

This was the cutest little apartment. Perfect size for a stay in San Diego. Close to everything and not far from the beach at all.

First off, I will start out with the booking of this rental. I filter my searches in VRBO to include homes with AC and pets, both a must, this was one of the homes that came up. I read the reviews and noticed that it didn't have AC but when reading further, there was a response saying that a lot of fans were provided which helped. When I looked at the home under the Vacasa app, it said under Heating & Cooling - Thermostat, very misleading. I decided to book anyways, figured it was San Diego, how hot could it be, we are from Vegas. When we got to the home, it was very warm, we located the fans, but they were such a nuisance and did not help cool the house down to a comfortable temperature. The windows in the bedroom are very small, so it wasn't circulating the air efficiently. We would leave the house in the morning before it would get too hot and come back in the evening and the house would be 95 degrees, with a few windows open and the fans running all day. We would then have to run all 6 fans throughout the house to get it to cool down, it was so noisy, we couldn't even watch a movie without turning the sound up to a ridiculous volume. And with the windows open, we didn't want to disturb the neighbors, so we had to sit outside to stay cool until bedtime. Around 10PM it finally got down to 84 degrees, which is still uncomfortable, even being from Las Vegas, it was gross.

The location of this stay was PERFECT! Minutes away from Pacific Beach, shops, restaurants, etc. I also stayed here with my dog and he absolutely loved the patio/yard area. Would 100% stay here again!
