Located in Ocean Beach, this lovely house for $900 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Nestled atop a hill in Point Loma Heights, just 4 blocks from historic Ocean Beach, SunsetDecks offers panoramic views of the Pacific from every room not to mention the jaw dropping views from each of the 3 decks which provide another 1900 sq. ft. of outside dining and entertaining space. Guests get the best of both worlds – the serene and picturesque relaxing feel of neighborhood living while the beach, restaurants, bars, bakery, breweries and shopping are only 3 blocks away. Relax and fill your soul with happiness and sunsets from this lovely home and partake in the vibrant beach scene at your leisure. Only 8 minutes from the airport, your vacay can begin immediately! You will start to unwind upon arrival. As you enter the main floor, your jaw drops at the 180 degree view of the Pacific. Walk right out the main floor 15 ft. door that disappears into the wall and take it all in. This deck has an outdoor kitchen and bar and also offers outdoor electric heating to take the chill off those cool mornings and nights. Enjoy outdoor meals with the family sitting at the 10 foot outdoor table which provides seating for 8 and the nearby bar which seats 3. After eating, play a round or two of ping pong, and move on up to the second deck where you can enjoy a soak in the hot tub that seats 6. Oh- did we mention the beautiful built in fireplace adjacent to the hot tub? Don’t feel like a soak? No problem, the second deck has a high-top table with 4 chairs as well as a love seat. Or maybe you want to take in the most spectacular view that the home has to offer up on the 3rd deck. Relax on one of two comfy sofas or in one of the chaise lounges. Be sure to bring your camera – you will want to take a pic of the prettiest sunset in all of San Diego. All 5 bedrooms offer views of the ocean and have en-suite bathrooms. 4 of the 5 bedrooms have California King Beds, while one offers 2 sets of twin bunk beds. All bedrooms have walk-in closets and come equipped with Smart TV’s. One of the downstairs bedrooms has a fireplace as well as a walk out into the landscaped garden, complete with a reading bench. We know you will want to partake in the beach and we are ready for you. The house is outfitted with beach towels, beach toys, beach chairs, umbrellas and a cooler as well as a beach wagon to haul it all in. Upon returning from the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower conveniently located in the outdoor garden on the backside of the home. Whether your idea of a vacation is relaxing with a good book on a deck overlooking the ocean, building sand castles at the beach, visiting a few of the 78 breweries in San Diego County (3 of which are walkable from this house), going on a wine tour to Temecula, visiting the award winning San Diego zoo and Balboa Park, taking in a play at the La Jolla Playhouse, biking the Mission Bay Loop, hiking or golfing in Torrey Pines – this house provides the perfect home base. The home was perfect in size and amenities for our family. It accommodated all of us in a beautiful setting. All we wanted to see was nearby and we were never out of things to do. We would recommend this place to anyone with a similar size group.

As other reviews have commented, Tad and Lisa were amazing. The house looked even nicer than the pictures, with gorgeous decks, well stocked kitchen, and comfortable seating. The location was perfect and there were great restaurants within walking distance. Among our many VRBO homes we have rented, this was the best!! You will not go wrong with this home.

I have to say me and my wife stay at 7-10 vacation rentals a year and this one, from beginning to end was the best we have ever stayed at. Whether it be the easy checking in process, the great communication from the owners, or the absolutely amazing house. Believe it or not the pictures posted still don't do this house justice. Absolutely incredible house and views. Can't wait to book again for next year!

This was the third time I stayed at this property. The house is amazing. 10 of us stayed during this visit and, because of the layout of the house, we all felt like we had plenty of room to visit as well as space to find some quiet time as needed. The views from the decks are outstanding. The kitchen is very well stocked so we enjoyed cooking meals. The owners are fantastic and very quick to respond to questions or issues. I will definitely stay her again next time I'm in San Diego.

Wow. Where to start. Breathtaking views are alone worth the stay. But there is so much more. Wonderful, immediately responsive and extremely helpful host. Clean, beautiful, comfortable house. The furniture, furnishings, beds (all of them), even the area rug in the living room are outstanding. Wonderful neighborhood and so close to so much of what beautiful San Diego has to offer. We've been to San Diego many times and this is by far the best time we've ever had. The proof was in the melancholy everyone felt leaving. And I'm still hearing about the trip and, particularly, the house from adults and children alike. My suggestion is don't hesitate. This is the spot. And another shout-out to the host: you're the best.

Couldn't have found a better place for our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration with family & friends. Large private rooms w/ King Beds & huge bathrooms. Beautiful views from all 3 decks & bedrooms, hot tub & outdoor grill station, ping pong & extra tables for puzzles. We loved how the living room was opened to the outside when we opened the huge sliding glass doors every morning. Fireworks every night at Sea World was a thrill from the decks. Kitchen was well stocked and we created many memories around the huge kitchen table. Owners were very attentive to anything we needed. We were even greeted with a beautiful card & champagne upon arrival for our 50th Anniversary.

This place is amazing . You feel like you walked into a dream home. This place has everything you need to feel at home but also pampered like a 5 star hotel. Breathtaking house with thoughtful features and amenities. All rooms were well-appointed; the beds were very comfortable. The three outside decks provided anything one might want to take advantage of the San Diego weather as well as beautiful vistas of the area. Seamless entry and exit process. We loved everything about this property! The rooms are spacious and bright. The views are stunning. The location is ideal. The whole house was incredibly clean. And it was thoughtfully stocked with stuff you need but don't want to have to go out and shop for: soap, shampoo, coffee, cream and sugar.......even a lint brush! Thanks very much!

Prior to arrival, we felt so welcomed by Lisa & Tad due to their excellent communication, accommodations for an early check-in and having their home setup perfectly for us. The location of the home cannot be beat. The views from the decks are amazing and probably the best in the city! Extremely convenient to walk to all the shops, restaurants and beach from their home. All the rooms were spacious, clean and had everything you could possibly need. Our group especially enjoyed using the grill outside and playing ping pong in the garage. Without a doubt, our group would 100% stay here again. The experience was top notch. Thank you for an amazing stay!!!

This property was impeccable and lived up to all expectations. The views from all three decks were amazing -- the panoramic view from the living room on a perfect day was tough to beat -- and it made for an awesome homebase for a group of friends exploring San Diego together for the first time. Lisa and Tad did an incredible job with this property: the views, the amenities and the location are tough to beat.

My family & I were here for our son’s wedding. The house was fantastic & beautifully appointed. We represented a wide age range & the accommodations met all of us wonderfully. The common areas were spacious, very relaxing, & welcoming. Even had a stroller to take the toddler to the beach!
The location was perfect, the neighborhood was quiet, & the outdoor decks were amazing. The kitchen was the best of any VRBO I have used. I would highly recommend this property for a special getaway for family & friends. It certainly helped make our family celebration a happy & memorable one. Mary

It really shows that Tad and Lisa put a lot of thought into this property being a rental. Not only is the place well designed and fantastic for multiple pairs of people, but the place is stocked with things to do, spices and kitchen items, just about anything you would need but wouldn’t be something you brought on a vacation. Great instructions, great communication, they are clearly good people. Our whole group had zero complaints for our entire stay, and were sad to have to leave it. I can’t recommend it enough. I’ve stayed at 10+ VRBO locations, and this one was easily at the top. It wasn’t just the house, it was also the consideration Tad and Lisa put into it.

Finding a place with enough space, 5 bedrooms/bathrooms, with a view good enough to make ALL 8 adults happy, was a tough order…but this home and it’s hosts fit the bill. THEY WERE FABULOUS!!
Walking distance to great food/drink options, hiking options…and if not, just enjoy the roof top sunsets. You will not be sorry if you rent this home!!

The home was in a fantastic location, close to the beach, downtown, and lots of restaurants. Tad and Lisa were very easy to communicate with and the check in process was a breeze. The views from the 3 decks were top of the line and the amenities included were great. I highly recommend staying at this house if you want to enjoy San Diego!
