We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance at the time your contract is executed. You do not need to enter a policy number. Here you will find the complete details of what Travel Insurance will cover. SECURITY CAMERA(S): This home has two active security cameras. There is one in the front driveway and one by the basement backdoor. Please inquire with TLUXP if you have any questions or concerns prior to booking. Pet Policy Pets are allowed only at properties that indicate Pets Considered in the amenities tab. If you are planning to bring your pet, please conduct your search specifically for a home that is pet-friendly. Prior written approval is required, and a pet fee applies. Please call our office to inquire about your pet, as homes may have varying policies. County Rules Each county requires we inform you of the rules and regulations relevant to your home's Short Term Rental Permit. We thank you in advance for abiding by the rules below, also included in your signed in the Vacation Rental Agreement. Maximum Occupancy: There shall be no gatherings, events, weddings or other group functions on the Premises with more people than the number of persons stated on the Agreement. Parking: Parking on the street is prohibited at all times. All cars, boats, and trailers must be parked in the garage and/or driveway. Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are 9pm-8am, seven days a week, Noise carries easier and further in higher elevations and over water. Per the ordinance: No sound from the vacation rental home shall be audible from the parcel line during this time. Noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance, disturbance or nuisance to neighbors. Lights Out: All exterior lights that are not needed for safety must be turned off between the hours of 10pm-7am, seven days a week. Per the Ordinance: All exterior lights must be turned off that are not needed for safety or other outdoor use to the extent that such other outdoor use is not an unreasonable nuisance to neighbors. Red Flag Warnings: Due to extreme fire danger, bonfires, charcoal barbecues and wood-burning fire pits are strictly prohibited. On Red Flag Warning Days, when fire hazards are especially dangerous, typically due to dry conditions and high winds, additional restrictions are imposed by the North Tahoe Fire Protection District and prohibited. You cannot use outdoor gas grills or gas fire pits during Red Flag Warnings. All outdoor fires are prohibited, both gas and wood. It is your responsibility to be informed of Red Flag Warnings. You will see signs on the front of all fire district stations, hear about it on the news, see it on social media and hear about it on the radio. Winter Driving Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment. Be Bear Aware Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife. Office Holiday Hours The TLUXP office is closed on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. Thank you for understanding. This beautiful Tahoe home is the perfect mountain cabin to enjoy an active vacation or just relax among the trees soaking in stunning views of Lake Tahoe. Furnishings are finely appointed throughout the home. The gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and top-of-the-line appliances are a chef's delight. The cathedral ceilings and tall windows allow for lots of sunshine all day long. Enjoy a nice hot tub on one of the two decks that face the lake. Just two miles south of Tahoe City, Sierra Vista is on a quiet cul-de-sac and is situated on the hill above the west shores of Lake Tahoe and Sunnyside Resort. Enjoy the gorgeous lake views or go down to the water's edge at Tahoe Park Beach Club where you can picnic, barbecue, play volleyball, basketball, horseshoes or watch the kids on the playground all summer long. Palisades Tahoe and Homewood Mountain Resort are a short drive away, and Paige Meadows is right out the back door for the cross-country skier and snowshoe enthusiast. In the summer, you can access some of the best hiking and mountain biking trails in the Tahoe area. For those adventurous souls, you can bike cross-country from Paige Meadows all the way to Alpine Meadows, or even Olympic Valley, returning on the bike path along the Truckee River and the west shore of Lake Tahoe. 3,000 Square Feet Bedroom #1 Primary Suite - California King - Floor 2, Entry Level Bedroom #2 Queen Suite - Floor 1 Bedroom #3 Queen - Floor 1 Bedroom #4 Two Doubles - Floor 1 2-Car Garage. This home includes access to the Tahoe Park HOA with a private beach, shared pier, large grassy area, playground, volleyball net, horseshoes, barbecues and picnic tables, located next to Sunnyside Restaurant. Air Conditioning (Floor 2 Only) Anyone renting this property during the snow season (Oct 15-May 15), should bring a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Please be advised, the access road off the main highway is difficult to ascend when covered with snow or ice if one's vehicle is not a 4WD and/or with chains.
