About this house rental
Situated in La Plata County, this charming house for $585 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Our 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2,500 square foot townhome was built in 2020 and is located directly across from Purgatory Resort and is 24 miles north of downtown Durango (less then a 30 minute drive). The home is perfect for multiple families as it features two living spaces on different floors as well an open floor plan, cathedral ceilings, high end appliances and great views. There are 2 TVs in the house (1 in each living space) and the main floor living space features a gas fireplace. The first floor of the home features a large open concept kitchen, dining, and living room perfect for family gatherings. The top floor also includes a guest bathroom and a laundry room with a brand new top of the line full capacity Whirlpool washer and dyer set. If you're in search of extra sleeping space the downstairs couch pulls out into a bed. Beyond the lower level living area is the bottom back patio equipped with a brand new 6 seater HOT TUB! Included in your stay are two mountain bikes you're free to use, a brand new 4 seater hot tub, ping pong table, snow shoes, and snow sleds. The home comes equipped with a portable pack & play crib. Bed Configuration: Master Bedroom - King Bed (Main Level) 2nd Bedroom - Queen Bed (Lower Level) 3rd Bedroom - 2 Twin Beds (Lower Level) 4th Bedroom - 2 Twin Bunk Beds (Lower Level) Extra sleeping area - Full Size Pullout Sleeper Sofa (Lower Level) Admit it, wouldn't you rather be here? For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. When booking, just advise if you would like the extra 4% resort fee added. This property is pet friendly, the pet fee is $25/per day, each pet. We allow up to 2 dogs per stay. The maximum pet fee is $200 per dog and will be added to your reservation after you book. NO Smoking anywhere on the premises. Guests will be sent a vacation rental agreement by Durango Colorado Vacations (the property manager) to e-sign at the time of booking. Note: This home does not have Air Conditioning. Most homes do come equipped with box and ceiling fans. A friendly reminder before you book your stay, is to remember we are trusted to manage independent and family-owned homes. We simply ask that you treat these homes and properties with the same respect that you would expect one to treat yours. Due to a recent uptick in unauthorized guest, pets and gatherings. We are implementing a strict "one strike" policy for any guest that are found having any unauthorized gatherings, pets or guest with them in the home. Failure to disclose any of the stated above will result in immediate termination of stay with no refund being issued for unused nights. Please note that most properties are outfitted with outdoor security cameras. Cancellation Policy: If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that are made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival will receive a 100% refund minus a $250 cancellation fee. Between (29) days and fifteen (15) days before arrival, guest will be refunded 50% of the reservation amount. (14) days or less to arrival, no refunds given. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date to receive a 100% refund minus a $250 cancellation fee Cancellations made between thirty one (31) days in advance of your arrival and (59) days will receive a 50% refund. Trip insurance is available for purchase and is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

We went up to Durango with friends and their kiddos and had a great time. The property was clean and so cute! It is close to Purgatory Resort and Twilight Lake, so lots of great activities super close by. We didn’t have any issues and would recommend for a trip up to the mountain, loved it!

Absolutely enjoyed our stay! Perfect place to wake up to a light snow fall every morning and enjoy the views over sips of coffee. Purgatory ski resort is right across the street so you can literally walk across the street and catch the lift up the bunny hill to the main lift/ticket office. Just a short 5 or less minute walk. The house was clean and very well stocked with all kitchen appliances. The hot tub was well kept and clean. Heated up fast. We had 10 adults staying so the sleeping situation could be improved for adults. There’s only one king and one queen room, the other two rooms are bunk beds or single beds. The pull out sofa is definitely not useable. We brought a blow up mattress instead. But, overall we loved our stay and would definitely book again. Thank you!

This property was even more beautiful and comfortable than advertised. We had great communication with the management company. Shuttle is easy to get to and from lifts but honestly it was so close some of our group just walked.
We had a group of 9 and had more than enough room for all. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed ping pong, foosball, and the beautiful patio.
We will be staying again!

This condo is a great location for skiing and beautiful views. Most everything is new, so still nice, however it probably won't last very long. The laminate on the floors is already starting to peel. The hot water only comes upstairs, downstairs is difficult to get hot water. The hot tub is very nice, but please make sure to ask them to have it on for you, it took a day to heat up. There is only one bathroom with one mirror down stairs, which is quite difficult if you have a lot of adults sharing the house. The three main bedrooms have decent mattresses, but please make sure only kids are sleeping on the bunk beds or pull out couch, because these mattresses are super thin and very difficult to sleep on. All the doors squeak and make it very difficult to not wake everyone up in the morning. Overall this is a good home for 4-6 adults and the rest kids, but nothing more than that. Awesome location and beautiful views!

Just a short shuttle ride to Purgatory. Our family enjoyed our stay. Home was well equipped (just short on TP and paper towels to get past a couple days). Sound does travel, but the rooms were comfortable and the space was perfect for kids and adults. Overall a nice place in a great location.

Family Thanksgiving
We had two groups next door to each other for a family gathering over Thanksgiving and had one of the best trips!! Perfect location for skiing and hiking. Labor Day Getaway
The Modern Cabin was beautiful just like the pictures. We did have an issue when we arrived. After a long 8 hour drive, we were ready to unpack, cook a nice meal and relax, but turned out the place was still uncleaned and not sanitized. We had to call the owner and she had a difficult time locating her clean up crew. So we cleaned and sanitized the kitchen completely as we waited for the crew. Four hours later, the clean up crew showed up and were there till 10 pm. We had to tell them to leave because it was late and we finished drying and folding linen. The laundry room had a horrible smell because of the linens that were left in there from the previous visitors. I didn’t appreciate having to clean before settling in or having cleaning crew while we were trying to relax. We weren’t even offered a discount for the owner’s mistake. I thought she was irresponsible and unorganized.

Great house in a great location
We loved our visit to Purgatory. The house was clean and just as advertised. The kids loved the hot tub, bunk room, and sledding around the neighborhood. A huge bonus for us was the shuttle service that took us to and from the ski resort with just a phone call- they are also go into Durango if you need that. We stayed over a very snowy weekend and this made getting around much easier. We would recommend!

Absolutely Awesome
Brand new property, directly across street to slopes. Owner really goes out of his way to accommodate. Responds within minuets...day or night. Would rebook this in a heartbeat. I've stayed directly on the mountain and would pick this 10/10 times. Private hottub, gas fireplace, great room for entertaining.

Great stay in Purgatory
This is a great place to stay for family and friends in the beautiful ski town of Purgatory! It is located directly across from the entrance to the ski resort. The town house is newer and beautifully furnished. It is well stocked and very clean. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again!
