We are ideal for couples, families and singles who want to get away from the everyday grind. We have family friendly hiking trails close by on Bald Mountain with great Mountain top views of the Sunrise and Sunsets. Bald Mountain also has incredible views of the surrounding area that will not disappoint on a clear day. SPECTACTULAR LEAF PEEPING VIEWS during the fall season! You will also enjoy great views of the night stars on a clear night from your suite. We offer easy Self check-in with keyless entry into a private suite. Accommodations are1 King Bed,1 Queen Bed, and 1 single self-inflating bed. You will also enjoy Free Parking, Outdoor 20 foot above-ground swimming pool, Charcoal BBQ grill, Fire pit, Kitchenette, Wi-Fi, Laptop-friendly workspace, Direct TV, DVD player (upon request), Washer/Dryer, A/C & Heat. Your Suite is a great jump-off point to Bar Harbor, Acadia NP, Belfast, Camden, Rockland. (Approximately 55-70 minutes). UMO and Husson Universities (25-30 minutes).

Both of both world convenient to town and the quietness of a forest! Loved the cats and chatting with the hosts! Property was clean and decorated in an ocean/beach decor, very refreshing!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay while bringing our son up to UMO. The property was super clean, quiet and peaceful. Kim was so personable and welcomed us when we arrived and was extremely prompt in answering my questions before we arrived. A perfect stay!

This apartment was even better than we expected. Kim thought of everything we might need and provided it. Bed was comfortable and everything was spotless and in good condition. Highly recommend. About an hour drive from Acadia.

I scheduled a “rest day” here in the middle of our jam packed vacation and this property was perfect. We were able to make breakfast and relax by the pool. Our hosts were tremendously helpful in ensuring we had a lovely time.

Although we only stayed for one night on our way to Acadia, Kim and Dan were fantastic! Everything about the stay was excellent including response time, kindness, suggestions on sights, and Acadia tips. The kitchenette was perfect, beds were comfortable, hot water was actually hot, and the remoteness allowed for a peaceful rest and absolutely beautiful overlook of the property. We highly recommend Kim and Dans place while in the area.

The house on Bald Mountain was clean and lovely and The pictures were accurate. But the best things were the owners, Kim and Dan, who occupy the house above you. They were eager to see that your stay was excellent. They greeted us when we came and when wish us safe travels when we left. They gave us directions and suggestions for our stat. They tried in every way to accommodate all our requests and as teachers you know we asked a lot of them. We were happy people and They were gracious, helpful owners who wished us safe travels when we left.

Everything was as described/pictured and had all you need, especially for two adults. Super clean and everything in working order. Perfect for a “home base” to come back to after a day of enjoying the area. Hosts are on site and awesome. Helped us find the perfect lobster roll and great advice about accessing the park. Would definitely recommend!

This property was very clean and the owners very nice without being intrusive. The property is two bedrooms and a small kitchenette. I hadn’t realized that it did not have a den or family room which my sons and I missed. The location is a reasonable distance to Bangor and Acadia National Park, about 30 minutes to 1 hour. There is not much to do right in the property’s location.

It was a very nice house, a little smaller than we expected, but cute, clean and cozy. Maybe it was our carrier, but we got no phone service anywhere near the house for miles, but could get internet. Dan and Kim greeted us upon arrival, but other than helping me put up the beach umbrella, we never saw them again, including when we left. That was a little odd, but not a big deal. The pool was nice, and we swam a few times and made the trip to Acadia and Bar Harbor several times, which was about an hour away. All in all, a very nice time.

Mountain’s Edge Retreat is just that, a retreat. It was a great place to rest, relax, unwind, and recharge. Outside provided a pool to take a dip in, a shaded picnic table to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and evening cup of tea, and scenery to take in. Inside was clean, tidy, and organized with two nice-sized comfortable bedrooms, a clean bathroom with great water pressure, and cute kitchen stocked with the essentials. The owners suggested a climb up Bald Mountain that was just up the road. What a remarkable view at the top! This is a conveniently located, clean and quiet place that I would gladly return to when I’m in the area again.

Beautiful accommodations! Extremely clean, well stocked, and very comfortable! The pool is such a luxury! I especially loved the hiking nearby. The sunset on Bald Mountain was incredible. I would recommend this place to anyone and hope to return soon!

Place and location are both great, around 50-70 min from Acadia, depending on which part of Acadia you are heading to. Easy to find, accessible, and the house was really well stocked (tea, coffee, essentials, etc). It's also a great place to see the stars at night.
