About this house rental
Located in Ellijay, this lovely house for $261 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. NEW LISTING! Come make everlasting memories at this beautiful home that sits on the Ellijay river! It features a huge wrap around, screened in porch, with a hot tub, Weber grill, 2 rocking chairs, and dining seating for 6. It’s perfect for enjoying your coffee in the morning or your wine in the evenings. There’s also a paved fire pit for you to enjoy at night. This home is less than 5 mins to downtown Ellijay and sleeps 8 comfortably. It has a huge first floor master with a King bed and a large Roku TV. The master bathroom, walk in shower, and walk in closet are also just as large, and is separate from the other bedrooms. The other 2 bedrooms are located upstairs and share a double sink “Jack n Jill” bathroom with a tub. Both bedrooms are comparable in size, have Queen beds, large closets, and Roku TVs in each. Outside of these bedrooms, there is a small loft with a twin memory foam pullout couch. The second twin pullout couch is in the game/tv room that is located in the sunroom near the master. The game room has a Roku tv, comfortable seating, a ping pong table, and foosball table. It is off the master and wrap around porch. The house has gorgeous high ceilings that make it feel open and airy. The living room will be the place to gather with your loved ones as it has ample seating for everyone. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need to cook a meal for a large group. It is beautifully updated with dining for 8 and barstools for 4. There is also a half bath off the living room for convenience. The large laundry room is behind the kitchen and off the garage entrance. IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ ! This home is what we call “the main house” on this property. “The river front cottage” - please see listing link below - is located a few hundred feet away from the house. This is a rental as well, so understand you may have guests there, so if you want to be secluded, this is not the property for you. We planted fern trees to separate the yards, but until they grow larger, there will not be complete privacy. They have their own yard/hot tub/and firepit, so those will not be shared. THIS PROPERTY IS PERFECT FOR HOSTING LARGE GROUPS like retreats and family reunions - it has 3 homes total on 6 acres of land. The 3rd property is linked below and is called “the treehouse”. The treehouse does not have any privacy issues since it is literally up in the trees away from both “the main house” and “the cottage”. All 3 homes can accommodate up to 18, while still having your own space. Other things to note: LATE CHECK-OUTS & EARLY CHECK-INS: Check-in time is 4PM and checkout time is 11AM. Door codes do not activate until set check-in time. Early access will not be provided without prior approval. Guests who check-in early or checkout past checkout time will charged the additional fee of $50/hr. There is a security camera facing the driveway that will be on during your stay. This was a great house. It had everything we needed from hairdryers to crock pots. It has a beautiful view and you feel like you are away from everything while only being about 10 minutes to get to anything you need. We cannot wait to visit again.

Overall we had a great time. This home had more than enough home away from home items. We had to make the best of the weather and all tubing companies were closed due to the lower temps and off season. Our boys enjoyed the property inside and out. I would say the location was amazing to town and to a great family friendly park, Gilmer Recreation Park. The home was layed out well with great furnishings and the beds were comfortable and better than most. I would have to say the stale shut in smell was a big turn off. When we arrived my husband had to leave to go buy air freshener and air neutralizing sprays. Over the next few days the house began to smell better and better. If we had not bought the spray our trip wouldn't have been as pleasant. There is just a lot of dampness due to the humidity and being on the water. The freezer would not open to the fridge and the ice maker did not work.The kitchen appliances are very new and this was a surprise. The hot tub,fire pit, and river were a highlight! Although, the hot tub was a hit it needed chlorine. The master bedroom and bath were spacious. We found out quickly it takes time to allow the hot water to run before reaching warmth. We also discovered someone can not shower upstairs and down stairs at the same time, you will not have any hot water to share! The property offered so much room for running and playing. The playground was an added bonus.

The house is nice and in a good, quiet location. We had plenty of room for our family of 7. We enjoyed the river, hot tub, firepit, games, cooked on the grill, and the kids loved the zipline between the two houses. The only issue we had was the ac was not running correctly and the fridge did not make ice. It was not unbearable, but it was cooler outside most of our time there. It is very close to town and we had no issues finding. We really enjoyed our stay!

We had a great experience with this property. We wanted to take a break from the city in the nature, next to a river, house with hot-tub and this house fulfilled our objectives. Is really close to town (5 min) with supermarkets, restaurants and stores. I tried to fish every day and only catch two trouts (I blame the fisherman). A really good surprise was the playground and swings for the kids at the back yard. Thanks for everything. See you soon!.

Cabin was very clean and easy to find. Very cold when we got to the cabin, 64 inside. Had to call. Told us we could raise the temperature and the trick is to turn on the fireplace to warm up the place. After we did that we were fine. Beds were really nice and comfortable. Everything you need is in the kitchen. The ice maker was not working. Used the fire pit and it was great. Location was close to everything. Would definitely stay here again.

What a great family getaway! The pictures don’t do this property justice. It is very spacious and everything was super clean. Kitchen was well stocked, I had everything I needed to prepare our Thanksgiving dinner for family. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit right next to the creek in the evenings. Quick drive to downtown Ellijay where there are plenty of restaurants and shops to enjoy.

The house is larger and nicer than pictures portray. The view from the back patio is so relaxing. We were visited by deer daily.
The house has everything you need. Thank you for the toiletries. Fooseball, games and ping pong add to the family enjoyment.
The hot water is a bit erratic, so plan on taking showers at different times.
Mary Jo was quick on answering questions. The beds were comfortable. Love TVs in every room and we'll stocked kitchen.

Had a wonderful time and loved the location of the home. The creek was so much fun to walk in and look for rocks! We saw crawdads fish even a deer drinking out of it! Just such a warm welcoming place to stay! Can’t wait to go back!

Exceeded Expectations
This property is more beautiful than it looks! The pictures do not do it justice. The location to downtown is ideal, as it is only a five minute drive. Mary was easy to work with! The river was slow and shallow which was great for the kids in our group. We really enjoyed wading into the water. We definitely recommend this property with full stars.

Perfect place to stay!
A wonderful place to stay. It was exactly as advertised. Picture didn’t do it justice. Just lovely. Mary Jo had it stocked with everything we needed and lots we didn’t need. So nice not to have to run to the store. The children had a wonderful time playing in the water. The weather was great! We hated to leave but hope to be be back one day..

The home is located in a private (although not isolated at all) area. Spending time outside on the deck or next to the fire pit was amazing! The sounds of the river are perfect to soothe the soul. The kitchen is well equipped (gas stove was wonderful), the ping pong table was a highlight for the young adults, as well as the cozy living room for family game time. I did have to make contact with the manager/owner with a few questions and Mary Jo graciously answered quickly.
We would highly recommend this home.

Family Reunion
My siblings and I shared this rental. It is fabulous. Very clean. Everything looked brand new. Well stocked. The owners were very available for help and to answer questions. View was beautiful. Can’t wait to stay again.

Holiday Getaway
The property was beautiful. Within minutes of our request we had someone come and show us how to properly use the gas fireplace (we are from Florida and had no experience and didnt want to blow the house up! Relaxing and ideal
The property was beautiful and I really located close to Elijay. The loft was no longer a usable space due to safety issues, but otherwise it was perfect!

We had an amazing week at this cabin.
This property was equipped with anything you could need! The view was amazing. There is pkenty to do for kids odf all ages. Swings, kid zip line tree house, creek, kayaks etc. The screened in porch was amazing to sit and rock with the Grandbabies or sit and drink your morning coffee. The only issue was getting the microwave to work. I would totally recommend this property and hope to return one day.
