Nestled in North Lawrence, this charming cabin for $506 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Guests love the Whitetail Lodge: "Great place to stay! It was a lovely location and close to everything we wanted to do there. We had zero complaints. Very enjoyable and comfortable for all of us!!" This is a very spacious 4 bedroom home with extra sleeping areas and 3 levels - sleeps 16! The cabin has a large kitchen/dining area with dishwasher, 2 dining tables with seating for 12. The main living room has vaulted ceilings, a gas fireplace, flat screen TV with satellite, plenty of seating for gathering around the game! The lower level has another living area with flat screen TV and couches, with extra sleeping. There is also a lower game room with a pool table, foosball table and TV. Walk outside to a private Hot Tub on the lower patio. There is a nice deck on 2-sides of the cabin for enjoying the Black Hills Evenings, BBQ Grill and outdoor seating, SLEEPING:Main floor bedroom with queen bed 2 upstairs bedrooms with queen beds Open loft with queen bed and a set of full size bunkbeds Lower level family room with 1 full-size beds and 1 twin bed Lower bedroom with queen bed. This was the perfect family get together! The kitchen became the family game area while the basement was great for the younger crowd. We hadn't been together in one place in over 8 years so it was awesome! We celebrated an early Christmas together and made magical memories that we will treasure forever!

This property is in a great location to enjoy hiking, fishing etc. that is on offer in the Black Hills.
The property itself is very spacious with a great outdoor area. It is big enough that larger groups can split and have areas to themselves, or all hang out together and play pool.
We extended our stay while we were there and it was very easy to call and get the extra day added on.
We all really enjoyed our time there and would not hesitate to stay again when we are in the area again.

The cabin is as advertised but could use a deep clean and some basic maintenance.
Two of the ceiling fans are so poorly mounted that they wobble to the point of looking like they will fly off their mounts. There's two clothes washers and two dryers but one of each doesn't work, with no sign indicating which ones do work.
The hot tub water needed to be changed as there was dirt and a bandaid floating in the bottom.
The windows are getting old and can fall out of their sashes. My 76-year-old mother was hit in the head late at night by the bathroom window as she was trying to close it.
Had some poor communication with the property management company, Deadwood Connections. The listing said no wifi but when I checked someone replied there was wifi (unfortunately we needed to be online for work). When I got the check-in information a few days before our booking it stated "no wifi" so I asked again and this time the answer was that there has never been wifi at this cabin and the previous response was an error.
It's an understandable mix up or mistake and we were credited $200 for the issue but the next response of, "just hotspot from your phone" was less than helpful. There is only 1-2 bars of service with Verizon at this location and we would have had to drive into town for our online meetings except my brother luckily had a verizon hotspot that got slightly better signal once we found a good location for it high up in the house.

We had a wonderful stay at the Whitetail Lodge. It is quiet and peaceful and there is something for everyone to do. There is so much to see in the surrounding area. We love the Blackhills!

Place was great location, very easy check in process. Driveway needs to be bigger & a bathroom downstairs but overall an excellent stay! Would recommend for large family or group of friends.

2022 FAMILY GATHERING
Overall our stay was ok. Sharing the good and not so good --- in our opinion. The pool table, foosball table and hot tub were enjoyed. Hot tub could use some maintenance as only half the jets were working and none of the lights were working while we were there. Not a big deal but there is very little space around the hot tub for anyone to sit and visit with others while in the hot tub. The deck was a great place to hang out but there was LOTS of loud 4-wheelers / side-by-sides in the area during our stay which was quite annoying. The kitchen was pretty well equipped but no cooking sheet to use and the coffee pot was VERY slow. There was only 9 real forks to use which was not a big problem but not even one a piece for the amount of persons they allow to stay at one time. Also a note to "not use the dishwasher as it leaks" was on the counter when we got there --- which put a damper on our time as we had to do dishes several times --- even when we used paper plates to eat from. The bedrooms were ok. We all like harder beds than they provide but ok. The loft was a great place for some of the kids but it is not private at all. The location was nice as close to lots of visitor destinations --- but also very close to main road so some noise from that. The cleaning person you text when you leave was not updated and got ahold of a person that no longer works for this management company so had to contact them directly --- which was not a bit deal but shouldn't have happened. Although we all survived without WiFi --- it would be a great addition to this property. Also know that the phone service is very poor here --- as it is in most of the HIlls area. Not a lot of towels for the amount of persons they allow to stay at the cabin. The only grass area on one side of the cabin was a bit uneven and slanted -- the kids had a great time playing catch, etc. Overall the experience was ok but we would not use it again for OUR family gathering.

This is a great find! It's huge and beautiful and location is awesome! Had more room than we needed. There are so many beds. The wrap around deck is awesome to have your morning coffee and just hang out! Will definitely stay again!

The Lodge was perfect for our family get away. We enjoyed many nights on the porch and in the hot tub. Very quiet setting yet close enough to grab dinner in Deadwood or go hiking in the Spearfish canyon. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Other then that the beds were comfortable and the space worked great for the 13 people. The patio is awesome to hang out on! Had some amazing memories here and if I needed to have a house this big again..I would go back.
