Lovely secluded property. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the great communication with our hosts. Their recommendations for restaurants were great. Dino's in Bessemer City was delicious! We enjoyed Crowders Mountain State Park which is very close by. I gave 4 stars for cleanliness only because was there was pet hair on the sofa and chair in living room and we were not traveling with a pet. We would definitely stay there again.

The house is exactly as shown in the pictures. We had a great stay, it was close to things that we were interested in. Bobby was very quick to answer any questions that we had. We would stay again if we are in the area.

Clean and comfortable place. We loved the large yard, the mountain views and especially the waterfall that runs beside the home.

Very peaceful and quiet. Rained the whole time but the sound of the rushing water from the waterful made the whole trip worth it. Beautiful mountain scenery. The home is well maintained and clean. The hosts were absolutely wonderful and accommodating. The internet is blazing fast and the water as hot as you can stand. Would definitely come back again.

The entire time here, not a single dog was heard barking!!! Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs, but I HATE the barking.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had our dog along on the trip. The property, with running creek and waterfall, was ideal. Close to state parks to explore. We would definitely stay here again

This was our second time staying at this property and once again it did not disappoint. The hosts are friendly and responsive and the house is clean and quaint.
The fridge was stocked with water, there were breakfast treats and snacks to welcome us, and there was coffee for the Kuerig.
We will continue to stay at this property when we are in the area!

Memorail Day Weekend Trip (Race)
Home was clean and well supplied. Althought the owners did their best for a holiday weekend, the A/C kept have problems.
They did send a tech out but it was a program problem so the
tech was able to get it up and running around 5pm but kicked out around 8pm again; Friday and Saturday night to hot to even sleep..

Fabulous Kings Mountain Retreat
Very quaint cottage tucked into the mountains next to a waterfall and stream. Quiet, out-of-the-way respite with easy access to Crowder Mountain and Kings Mountain State Parks. Reasonable distance from Gastonia for any last-minute supplies. Clean, pet friendly and received prompt responses from the Host. Definitely a return destination.

If you are on the fence about this property, jump on over - as it is extremely nice. It is well kept and clean. We drove into Charlotte for the Nascar Hall of Fame, and it was only about 45 minutes both ways. We really enjoyed hiking at Crowder's Mountain and the Schiele Museum in Gastonia. The views from this little gem are really nice -- mountains and little waterfall. Our little dog really enjoyed the screened porch. I really miss the quietness now that I'm back home! If we get back to the area, I definitely would stay again.

Place was clean and well kept. The property and scenery was great. Close and easy drive to nearby attractions. Property owner was very quick to respond to any questions we had!

Perfect little house
We had a great stay at the property. We were in town for a family member’s funeral. We were able to bring our fur-babies and the home was just as pictured and clean. Definitely would stay there again!

Charming Cottage
Met expectations. In the area for a family funeral so it was perfect get away from the stress but close enough to family in the area. The location is ideally located for many outdoor hikes etc. but also close to venues for eating shopping etc.
We loved the little creek and rocks that run along side the property.
I would stay here again.

Perfect for us
This lovely house was clean and bright, and the location was easy to get to, and perfect for getting around the area. Daffodils were in bloom, we could see irises coming up, and crape myrtle and rose bushes will soon be emerging from dormancy - this will be so beautiful in the spring! Communication with the property manager was pleasant - we had no issues or problems with the property, and we loved the location and view.

Very pleasant home and host
The property was exactly as described. There was a beautiful view of crowder’s mountain across the golf course, and also a lovely rock bridge with waterfall and creek directly beside the property which was a great surprise. The hosts were very quick to respond and extremely helpful even making one house call during our stay. Would definitely recommend this property!

We had a wonderful weekend away in Kathy's place-- the house was spotless with a very tasty basket of snacks and beautiful screened in porch, the surrounding property had a lovely little waterfall and stream that our dog could not get enough of, and town was a very reasonable drive away so that it felt like we were remote but had access to everything (including DoorDash!). Sadly it rained most of the time we were there, so opted for a cozy time in instead of hiking at Crowder's, but we had no complaints about staying in!

Ideal weekend spot!
We had a wonderful weekend away in Kathy's place-- the house was spotless with a very tasty basket of snacks and beautiful screened in porch, the surrounding property had a lovely little waterfall and stream that our dog could not get enough of, and town was a very reasonable drive away so that it felt like we were remote but had access to everything (including DoorDash!). Sadly it rained most of the time we were there, so opted for a cozy time in instead of hiking at Crowder's, but we had no complaints about staying in!

A great find for a weekend getaway!
We were so pleased with our stay at this cute, cozy and understated home and location!
The property was easy to access off the interstate, but it felt peaceful and tranquil when we arrived. From the screened in front porch we saw an amazing view of Crowders Mountain. It was also overlooking the golf course’s rolling hills, which made an easy walk/jog location when no one was on the course.
Just around the side of the house, there was a historic site and a waterfall, slipping its way through what we think was the remnants of a water mill. You could sit at the picnic table and see and hear the falls from the side yard. There was also a shaded back deck peaking into the forest.
Getting to the hiking trails at Crowders mountain took us only around 5 min. We took the steep trail to the top (phew!) and saw views of changing leaves (in November) and the Charlotte skyline. We took the flat trails around the lake and through the fern forest which was very peaceful.
The home was cozy but with a surprisingly big kitchen and large updated bathroom. We had a good time cooking and eating. The master bedroom had a huge comfy bed. It was attached to but divided from a smaller bedroom with two twin beds. It would be perfect for a small family. But it was good for our small group of friends too.
The hosts left us some tasty snacks and books to enjoy. The WiFi worked well for us. We spent nearly all our time outside or cooking, so did not test the TV or streaming.
All together, we enjoyed very much our stay and we’d definitely stay there again!
