This house was so cozy and perfect for our group. It was also very close to the ski hill, which made it very convenient.

The house was amazing, our second visit. The location is perfect, restaurants, hiking, shopping, all close by. Can’t wait to return!

Very nice house and we enjoyed our stay. The view was spectacular and they were well stocked with some of the small necessities you otherwise may forget (dish soap, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner). Also lots of extra blankets, etc. Overall the house was very clean, although my sister found a bug or two in her room.
A few minor things - 1) we stayed there with young children, and the staircase was a bit challenging/nerve-racking. This would be fine for older kids. 2) The television downstairs had very good clear instructions for how to turn on the tv/game cube, etc, however, a previous guest must have disconnected some wires because everything was either disconnected or plugged in wrong, so it took us quite awhile to sort that out (all the remotes were also out of batteries, but we eventually found extra). The smoke detector was also low on batteries/woke us up in the night, but again, we eventually found batteries on hand to replace them. (Not a big deal, just annoying way to wake up).
Overall, would stay there again and wish we had had time this trip to spend at the house, as it was very pleasant.

Easy in-and-out. Good wi-fi. Spacious enough for 11 of us. Lovely, peaceful setting. Beautiful views from both decks. Great water heater—never ran out of hot water.

Check in was easy . House was clean . All the rooms have a good heater . we use the second floor TV because we can't turn on the upstairs and downstairs tv's we not understand why not turn on we follow the instructions but still don't know why tv's don't turn on . Other in that we don't have any issues ! They have a coffee pot, blender, pots , utensils, dishes, coffee cups, wine glass es, they leave everything you need to clean but we can't find a mop to clean the floor ,the dumpster for garbage is kind small for trash specially for 12 people but we figured how put everything inside and not leave any trash outside for any wild animals can spreading looking for food ..,the place is nice is wonderful to relax with amazing mountains views , they just need in the porch a fire pit that's all . It a very wet area because mist /fog . I recommend 100% this house. Hope can comeback next year .

My family fit nicely in the house, the views were gorgeous, and the location was perfect, however 4 members of our group came Saturday evening and left Sunday morning = their rooms on the lower level were too warm to sleep & thermostats were confusing. I refunded their part of the rent. 2 family members on top floor found it too uncomfortable heat wise to sleep.. TI messaged VRBO on issues Sunday who in turn sent everything to Vacasa who have yet to contact me with any kind of answer or offer of partial reimbursement.

Stunning view of Grandfather Mountain! Two families enjoyed this home for five days. The house was clean, had the convenience of a well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms with necessities to include personal items like shampoo and conditioner, laundry detergent, hand soap, and dishwasher cubes. When you come upon the property, there are two driveways with plenty of parking. The exterior is lovely, well-maintained and there are abundant in-ground flowers, rhodos, trees, and potted baskets of annuals--even in planters affixed to the garage. This is a visually appealing place with an upper and lower deck to 'veg' out on--well-furnished with comfortable seating and umbrellas and tables. If you are a lover of viewing nature with a drink in hand--this is the place to book! The inside is well-lit from huge windows, and again, well-furnished. We loved the upstairs king bedroom with an adjoining work/sitting area and a wondrous en-suite bathroom with two sinks, an enclosed shower--and for the extra indulgent--a deep, bathtub! We had fun sitting around an incredibly long table that seats nine people--just playing games, doing puzzles, and eating our meals. The rooms are clean, the beds all comfortable. Downstairs boasts its own kitchenette, two rooms with bunks and two twins and a shared bath. Frankly, I'm one of those whose a little leery of using bedsheets, dishes, and the like from places unknown to me--but I must say, I did NOT feel an 'hmmm...? Or ewww...' when I stayed here. It is kept very clean here, if you're a leery one like me. What I appreciated was Vacasa's local office agent welcoming me on day of arrival and the phone call letting me know that the property was ready for me in advance of the 4 p.m. check in time. We were 'pigging out' at The Peddling Pig bar-b-que, which is quite delicious! We had only one small issue with our stay--a broken part on the dishwasher. I didn't notice this first-hand when I arrived until the third day. (I used paper plates and utensils and scrubbed the dishes I did use by hand when I had first arrived, being the clean-freak that I am!) Suffice it to say, I tried calling the 800 number but didn't get resolution b/c of the late hour. The next morning, Vacasa came through for me through the lovely lady, Julia, at the local office, who had welcomed me via text. She handled the matter for me by sending a man over immediately. If you're looking for a 'home-away-from-home-family/friend-get-a-way, this is the place. I can't say more! Except, bummer we had to leave! (Work gets in the way of fun, doesn't it?!)
