Alison and Fergus, the hosts, were quick to respond to any inquiries that I had. The cottage was clean, private, quiet, and exactly what I was looking for. It had a fridge, hot plate, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, air fryer/electric oven and the hosts provided coffee, tea, fresh fruit and muffins. The bed was very comfortable and so was the temperature in the cottage. Overall, I was very pleased with our stay.

This cottage is magical! We stopped through for an all-too-brief, one-night stay during a road trip. We instantly knew we wanted to return for a longer stay. The host was so helpful and informative! The cottage itself is much larger than we expected. The lighting and design creates such an inviting space. There is a deck with a picnic table where we ate some pizza and a salad before settling in to watch hockey on a large tv from the comfort of a VERY squishy chaise. There were fresh muffins, fruit, cream, and coffee for breakfast, buuuut we ate them for a late night snack! The grounds are lush and inviting as well. The location is quiet and the drive to reach it allows you to see homes (mansions?) you would otherwise never see. I think this cottage would be great for anywhere from 1 to 4 people. We hope to stay again and for longer!

We were coming into Norwalk CT for a family event, this place was way better than any hotel room we could’ve found! Surrounded by nature, nearby small towns and villages, about 25 min to where we needed to be in Norwalk. Peaceful, quaint, cozy, very dog friendly.

This was our 3rd time staying in this home. It is always clean and nicely appointed. Host has always been friendly and helpful. However, during this stay, the home lost power intermittently throughout the evening and overnight. Although the host responded when we reported this, ultimately we were instructed to turn off a wall heating unit that was apparently drawing too much electricity and causing these episodes of no power. The temperature was below freezing outside and without this heat source, it made for a very uncomfortable overnight. The host was apologetic throughout our initial correspondences but never followed up the next morning upon our departure. We never received a follow up text the next morning to acknowledge or “smooth over” the unfortunate situation that we experienced. As a repeat customer, who had always gotten top reviews from her in the past, it seems that she would have cared more for our well being and would want to ensure our business going forward.
