Nestled in Spafford, this lovely house for $695 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Summary: Where Modern Elegance Meets Rustic Charm with 200 Feet of private shoreline on the one of the most beautiful lakes in the region. The beauty of this property is that it's a peaceful and private retreat that has just 30 steps to the water and is only a 13 minute drive to the village to where all the restaurants, shops, grocery/drug stores, etc are. This property is over 2000 sq feet and very unique with a lot of charm. The owners have provided many updates including a new kitchen and bathrooms with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, flooring & carpeting, quiet ductless split heat/air conditioning on the main level with forced air/central air conditioning on the 2nd level where the sleeping quarters are. On the main floor, there is a sitting area, separate living room that has a beautiful gas fire place with a quartz surround, dining area, full bathroom and laundry room. There is also a wrap around deck with beautiful views. On the 2nd level, there is brand new carpeting installed in June 2021, 3 full bedrooms, (1 king bed, 2 queen beds) 1 full bathroom and a really unique "sleeping porch" which has 4 twin beds. The sleeping porch acts as a separate bedroom with heat and central air but with a sophisticated window system that allows you to have the fresh air and a breeze on 3 sides if you choose to do so.

The place is exactly as pictured-gorgeous views and a quiet restful location Love this village and the location Suggestions to host include improving beds and bedding and providing shower basics like, body wash, shampo/conditioner The location on the lake is perfect. House is clean and comfy but for the AC upstairs which doesn’t cool well if it’s very hot and humid outside-never got below 73 degrees At departure-Renters are required to spend time separate garbage, put it outside as well as stripping all the bedding and bringing it to the laundry on the first floor separated

If you're looking for an overpriced, aggressively and badly managed 3 1/2 star property with small-minded, petty wannabe elites for 'neighbors', then this is the perfect place for you. Three days into the stay, the property 'manager' texted us to advise a 'neighbor' had complained that our cars were parked in the wrong direction on the property's private driveway. The 'manager' shared that the 'neighbors' don't care very much for short-term renters (this was buried in the lengthy and fussy property instruction pages we received after paying for the rental as 'neighbors' being 'sensitive'). That would have been good to know before renting. We note that one of the 'managers' who came to fix an appliance on the property parked in the same direction that we had! Too bad the owner and managers didn't pursue adequate supplies for the dishwasher and the laundry (we ran out of both on the 4th day) with the same vigor they pursued the 'neighbors' petty complaint. We will of course not return to this place and, frankly, the experience gives us pause about Skaneateles in general.

House was very clean. Secluded location, felt like being in ADK. Waterfront property. Cool “garage” near the dock, which was great when the sun was really hot, and when it rained.
