Facility and campus is nice and secure. Water areas , communal areas in great condition and well maintained. Staff is great. Communication with condo owner poor.

Beautiful view and we love the lazy river. Some items needed repair (ice maker, light bulbs, dishwasher detergent holder, patio door didn’t lock) but Ryson brought us bags of ice and replaced the light bulb asap. We didn’t know about the dishwasher and patio door at the time. The bedrooms are pretty small but would work if we had young children with us.

Location was great. Size of pool was a bonus. Layout, cleanliness & amenities were great.

Condo is very nice with great view. Stayed with our 2.5 year old and had great access to beach and amenities. As mentioned in some of the previous reviews:
Water slide is closed as resort stated they were unable to find/staff a lifeguard and unable to utilize without one.
Hot water to master shower is a bit tricky. About 25% of our showers actually felt like we had hot water. Seemed to work fine in other bathroom.
Beds/mattresses not very comfortable and mattresses probably need replacement (spring mattresses just feel shot).
Weather was low 80s and partly sunny and there were no crowds so we would definitely have considered this off season.

Beautiful Complex Condo is just OK
We have stayed at Diamond Beach many times. This was our first time in this unit. Diamond Beach is beautiful and the amenities cannot be beat. This particular unit was ok but needs a little TLC. The hot water has issues and you never know if you are going to get a cold shower or a hot shower. The washing machine has mildew and a smell. We were supposed to be able to check in at 4:00 (which is later than most units we’ve stayed in). We were told there was no early check ins and that the management company would text us as soon as it was ready. It was explained they have a 2 step process of the cleaning personnel coming in and a quality control person coming after to check the unit for perfection. Not the case, we walked into the cleaning lady still there after 4:00 and had to wait in the hallway for 30 minutes for her to finish. The “quality control” person never showed up to check the work.
All in all Diamond Beach is fabulous but for the price of this unit I was expecting a little more.

Property water options are awesome
Overall, the condo was nice. We were very frustrated with things like 1)the remotes (for both the bedroom & livingroom) didn't work properly.
2) the description on vrbo says there is a water slide, a swim up bar & grill, a Wine & Dine room, but all those amenities were closed.
The hot water in the shower and in the kitchen was barely warm. I didn't have a hot shower until my check out day.
The master bed was uncomfortable and the pillows made noise with every turn when we laid on them.... as though they were filled with Styrofoam beads.
I tried contacting the company thru vrbo about an early check in, but never received reply.
For the cost per night for the condo, I was very disappointed.

Incredibly disappointed with rental. Sliding balcony door was broken...the whole point of being on the water is to sit on the balcony and listen to the waves. We had a running toilet, no hot water in one of the showers and the washing machine was moldy.

The lazy river and pool are by far one of the best I’ve been in. The swim up bar is great, but you can only buy alcohol from them. No outside alcohol allowed. They will patrol the pool area and inquire, regularly. The unit that I was in was nice and clean. Pros: Easy assess to the garage elevator and trash shoot in the hall. Was able to sleep 7 adults and a infant. Cons: It was pretty plain in decor than other units available. The tv remotes did not work, so your only option was to watch what channel the tv was already on. The balcony door was very difficult to open. In some cases, took two people to open.

Check in process is not smooth or quick. Condo is average but needs some repairs and general up-keep. Wifi network and password did not match information provided by management company. The stove-top glass is shattered and the broken glass needs to be replaced. The sliding patio door needs replacing as it can not be opened easily.

Check in was easy, great view from condo and very clean. The mattresses need an upgrade but were ok. There was a few damages to chairs and stove top, few scuffed walls not a deal breaker for another stay, just for nightly price I expected everything to be pristine. I would still give a 5 star review as overall the positive outweighs any small cosmetic issues. Great place to stay!

Everything was nice except the beds. All the mattresses were creaky and the springs could be felt. I think they need to be replaced. If it wasn’t for that I’d give it five stars, otherwise it was a great stay.

We booked this condo on a whim during our Spring break vacation. We were at a hotel and decided we wanted more space. An hour before check-in, I received a call from management that the pools and spa's were not working and the hot water takes awhile to work in the condo, but would receive an additional discount. She explained it was due to the recent Texas Freeze we all endured; however, the pools/spa's not working should've been in Bold Red lettering on the listing before booking. We decided to try out the condo anyway. The condo is outdated, very little decor, one painting was just sitting on the dresser, not even hung. The small kitchen table had a broken back, the patio wicker furniture was torn up, the washing machine smelt of mold, the wifi nor the cable TV's worked. The TV's are older, so no access to Netflix or your other streaming Apps. The Management company was attentive to our issues and tried fixing the cable, but was an "owner issue" not a quick cable connection fix. The condo's view and location are awesome just like the pictures, but those pics are probably 10+years old. The condo needs a quick update, before you book please check. The Diamond Resort and Management company were great, it's the condo that needs improvement. We left the condo and went to San Luis Resort Hotel for the rest of our Spring Break. I also want to say that this is my first negative review of a condo, that's how bad it was.

Property was more than I could have expected. The resort has so many amenities. The unit does need to be upkept and a little better. But I did notice some of the earlier complaints were fixed. It is definitely worth the price and I would definitely rent again. The issues are minor compared to the benefits.

We love Diamond Beach and have stayed there several times. This time was disappointing...check in was confusing on where to go but biggest disappointment was response by management to our requests. Living rooms lights were never working, WiFi never worked after multiple calls to management company, master bath light didn’t work...location was great! This place needs new mattresses and more towels. It just was not comfortable and left us feeling like they are doing nothing to make it an easy and enjoyable stay. Very disappointing.

We took our daughter and 3 grandchildren to Galveston and spent three days in this condo. At first glance it looked great, but it didn't take long to find the flaws. In fact, I could copy and paste the review posted Aug 2018.I had read that review but assumed things would have been repaired/dealt within the past year. Not only were the blinds still broken, we were unable to open the door to the balcony until the management company sent someone to "fix" it. The best he was able to do was to clean out the track, which enabled us to open the door slightly and with extreme effort. We were unable to use the lights in the living room because, according to the person who came to fix the door, the rheostatneeds to be replaced. We also called about the lack of dishes, twice, and were told that someone would bring more...that never happened. Two coffee cups and two wine glasses were not enough for three adults. There were 4 "nice" plates, bowls, and salad plates...for a unit that sleeps 8. As we cook three specialty meals when vacationing with family, this was sadly inadequate. We usually have at least 8, so that would have been a real mess!We were never able to access WIFI...the two codes we were given didn't work. The hole on the cooktop has not been fixed and there is still no can opener. Some of these things could be remedied so easily; it amazes me that issues existing prior to the 2018 review have not been addressed. I don't know which party is responsible, but suffice it to say, we will not use Ryson Managementgoing forward. The property itself is amazing. The kids had a blast inspite of the juggling act we did with the two keys allowed for the unit. We had to rely on the kindness of strangers more than once to gain access to the pool and elevators. I suppose that could be considered a breach of security. We use VRBO/Homeaway for almost all of our travel and have never experienced as many problems as we did this week.

Labor Day Weekend
Love our trips to Diamond beach condos BUT will never rent this location again..By Far the worst we’ve ever stayed!
Blinds on patio broken no shade or privacy because of it, definitely not something that just happened, lack of linens for pullout beds, towels provided for 4 ONLY, Kitchen stovetop glass broken didn’t just happen & could be very hazardous! Never stayed in any location that didn’t have some sort of can Opener WOW!
The owners need to at least invest $100 for some decent utensils, cookware, mixing bowls (at least 1) maybe a plastic pitcher, extra towels & linens!!
Not the best floor plan for privacy in master bath at all BUT made the best of a wonderful fun filled weekend.
