Absolut fantastisch, top Lage und Ausstattung = unbedingt empfehlenswert (eigentlich mindestens eine 12/10)! Die Gastgeber sind der Inbegriff griechischer Gastfreundschaft. Wir wurden nachts um 2 Uhr von der Fähre abgeholt. Auf dem Tisch standen frisch gemachte Sandwichs und Obst zur Begrüßung, selbst im Kühlschrank waren noch einige grundsätzliche Dinge zu entdecken. In den folgenden Tagen gab es immer wieder mal eine kulinarische Überraschung, die Krönung am letzten Abend: Oktopusrisotto und leckeren Fisch! Eugenius und Maria waren immer zur Stelle, wenn etwas benötigt wurde und das ohne aufdringlich zu sein! Wir haben uns wunderbar betreut und super wohl gefühlt.
Die sehr schön im griechischen Stil eingerichtete und super saubere Wohnung und die Aussicht von der riesengroßen (teilweise überdachten) Terrasse ist atemberaubend; besonders am frühen Morgen zum Sonnenaufgang.
Kleiner Supermarkt und mehrere Tavernen, sowie die Windmühlen sind gleich um die Ecke, auch der Hafen ist ggf. fußläufig erreichbar.
Wir empfehlen definitiv einen Mietwagen (mindestens SUV wegen Bodenfreiheit oder 4x4) um die schöne Insel mit imposanter (wenn auch karger) Landschaft zu erkunden. Es gibt einige schöne Strände und Buchten zu entdecken, das bedarf allerdings einer gewissen Abenteuerlust, befestigte Straßen gibt es nur zwischen den Hauptorten, alles andere sind reine Schotterpisten, also Offroad - und das bitte nicht unterschätzen!
Ein besonderer Tag war unser Bootsausflug auf die vorgelagerten Inseln. Tipp: Im Markos Supermarkt in Livadi ein eigenes Motorboot mieten (in GR führerscheinfrei bis 30 PS) und auf gehts!

VERADA House surpassed all my expectations with a wonderful veranda overlooking the sea which had an amazing view of the Old Town and its Venetian Castle! The hosts were unbelievably kind and helpful and even came to pick me up at the port to save me walking up a steep hill to the apartment! They also called by several times during my stay to give me fruit, yoghurt, and local delicacies to eat and to check if I needed anything even though the fridge had been fully stocked with water, wine, juice and cakes! I have travelled the world and stayed in many different types of accommodation but VERADA House was one of my best stays! The apartment was an old traditional house which had been recently renovated with a fully equipped kitchen, a charming bedroom which opened out onto the veranda allowing stunning morning views! The bathroom was gorgeous with a fantastic powerful shower and good window ventilation! I loved everything about this apartment and the location was ideal as it was just a short uphill walk to the famous windmills and the town square where the taxis and buses departed from! To top it all Eugene was kind enough to allow me the use of the apartment on my final day to store my luggage and have a shower as my ferry didn’t depart until 22:30 and they were not expecting new guests that day! I can highly recommend this property for its location, the unbelievable view and the amazing hosts. Thank you Eugene and Maria for making my stay so special.

Einfach großartig - super geschmackvoll dekoriert, bestens ausgestattet, Licht und Luft von 3 Seiten, Privatsphäre. Die Gastgeberin verwöhnt mit Obst und Nettigkeiten, einige Vorräte können genutzt werden. Von der mittigen Lage des Hauses ist sowohl das obere Zentrum als auch das unten am Hafen gut zu erreichen. Und die Terrasse mit der Aussicht - macht sehr glücklich.
Die Gasse hinter dem Haus ist hübsch aber recht stark befahren, hat allerdings den Vorteil der Gepäckanlieferung. Die Terrasse ist dem Wind ziemlich ausgesetzt.

L’appartement Verada House est magnifique, en fait c’est plutôt une maison avec chambre séparée, cuisine, salle de bain et une extraordinaire terrasse. Depuis cette terrasse la vue est superbe , à la fois sur Chora, le port ,la mer , on ne s’en lasse pas du matin au soir !!!
Une partie de cette terrasse est couverte, ce qui permet d’être protégé du soleil.Chora est très proche ainsi que la petite plage du port.
L’équipement est extraordinaire, absolument tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner et la fourniture de tous les produits de base. Même chose pour la chambre et la salle de bain.
Le plus de cette maison est l’accueil des propriétaires Evgenios et Maria :transfert depuis l’aéroport, fourniture quotidienne de mets cuisinés par Maria qui preuve d’une générosité et d’une disponibilité extraordinaires.
Nous venons chaque année en Grèce depuis fort longtemps et nous n’avons jamais bénéficié d’un accueil aussi chaleureux et généreux,on se sent comme reçus par des amis !
Un grand merci à Evgenios et Maria, nous garderons pour toujours le souvenir de cet extraordinaire séjour à Astypalea.
