It is an unusual gite, part of a 13/15th century chateau close to Chinon. Although a bit rustic, it is very well equipped, with a good kitchen, washer and dryer and comfortable furniture and beds. The enclosed garden was great for our dog and we enjoyed the visits from deer in the field above. There is a great view of the fortress of Chinon across the nearby fields and vineyards; there were plenty of paths through the fields for dog walks too. Chinon is a great place to visit, with its fortress and medieval town. Mr Duthu was a very helpful host.
We were sad to leave.

Prachtige locatie in een deel van echt chateau. Charmante en vriendelijke host/bewoner. Kudde herten die in de tuinen rondliepen. Per fiets is alles te bereiken, zoals het stadje Chinon op een kleine 10 minuten.

The old tower in which you felt like a bit like a king, especially when your were looking out of the very large windows from the spacious bedrooms. The kids could play on the fenced of yard while the deer would sometimes make a short visit from the elevated chateau garden.
