Horrendous

Location, view from window. However, what happened to us has really negatively impacted any positive view we may have had. Notwithstanding this, We did have to extend our stay due to our flights being cancelled and the staff we liaised with did do this quickly (of course we had to pay for this extension). However they did not extend the time on the building pass nor apartment access and therefore we were locked out and having to make contact with them again to gain access - all of which was frustrating, stressful and tiring!

Nobody welcomed us. Not able to access the building to get to the apartment. We had to really beg the Security guard to let us in. Security Guards seemed very fed up that this keeps happening that Frank Porter are not available. We had to sign up to an app to gain entry to the apartment. There was no welcome pack to help us know how to access the amenities eg) swimming pool. A few days in and we returned at 8.30pm at night to water flooding the whole apartment. The hot water pipe to a tap in one of the bedrooms was leaking and water was pouring out. It had not been leaking at all before then. As there was no welcome pack we did not know who to contact so we spoke to security and they gave us numbers to try. We managed to reduce the amount of water coming out by turning the stop valve to the sink and we started on mopping/bailing out water from both bedrooms, hallway lounge/kitchen. All the time trying to get hold of someone from Frank Porter. My iPad was in a bag on the floor that got wet, we took it out of the bag, dried it and left it to dry out. 2 hours later we were still mopping etc.. and still no answer from Frank Porter. At 23:41 finally someone from Frank Porter arrived but by then we had managed to clear the water, got rugs on balcony to dry and we shut off the hot water for the whole apartment which meant we did not have hot water that evening. I was constantly messaging Frank Porter on booking.com messaging system telling them about the leak and damage to my iPad and I have had no response from Frank Porter via booking.com messaging. I managed to find an email address for Frank Porter last week and messaged them about my iPad. However, It is now 2nd April and this matter is still unresolved!

The position

I booked the apartment for two night, but... We found a very dirty apartment, with a fleas (!!!!) in the pillow (some of them with brown areas), sofa completely stained, mold on the wall!!! This is not allowed. We left the apartment immediately the first morning and we asked for refund but they did only for one night...... ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED!

Worst Property for the price i paid.

The location is a plus point. That's the ONLY thing i liked.

This is one of the worst homestays I have ever booked. The property is at least 15 years old and was extremely unhygienic. I paid around 5,300 AED for 7 nights, which is completely unjustified given the condition of the place. The problems began right from the entrance. The property management demanded an additional 2,000 AED as a security deposit on top of the booking amount, which is absurd. I informed them that I would pay in cash, and they assured me that someone would come to collect it. However, due to a flight delay, I arrived late and was told the person had already left. I was then forced to pay the deposit immediately via credit card. The check-in experience was terrible. The passcode provided for the key did not work, and I was then asked to download a keyless app. The entire check-in process took almost two hours, which was extremely frustrating after a long journey. I finally entered the apartment at 4:30 AM, effectively losing the first night of my stay. The condition of the flat was horrible—it was very dirty, with visible water seepage through the walls and cigarette butts scattered across the balcony. When I contacted them for cleaning, I was informed that it would cost 500 AED extra, even though the apartment should have been properly cleaned before check-in. Even though i checked in at early morning the next day they asked me to leave the property by 11:00am sharp on the last day. To make matters worse, the refund process took an entire month, requiring repeated follow-ups. Overall, this property is absolutely not worth the money. The only positive aspect is the location, and it feels like the management is simply cashing in on that. I strongly recommend not booking this property. There are far better options available at this price point. This Property is managed by Frank Porter. They provided me with the worst service. I request not to book any property with Frank Porter.

It was a clean spacious apartment at a great location. There are plenty of food options near by. Most of the things were exacly as per the description.

It was little cumbersome for a first time visitor to navigate to apartment through parking lot. A detailed instructions with exact enterance gate number would have been helpful. Also detailed instructions on how to lock and unlock the main door would have been helpful. Wifi works great in living room but its sketchy in first bedroom and doesn't work at all in the second bedroom.

No breakfast but plenty of cafes in the vicinity.

The approach through the car park wasn’t easy. Really needed to ask for directions. The access cards for the lobby didn’t work, but the guards were always helpful in getting us through.
