Could not wait to get away from that disgusting place

The host was nice; he seemed to be helpful, however, he would not have to be so helpful if he kept the facility up to par. I’m not reviewing the host tho, I am reviewing the property.

I don’t know where to start. I don’t like to be the person that has a ruined experience due to a bad stay place, but that is true here. The place was disgusting. I have been to 29 countries and have about 100 reviews on Booking. This was in the top 3 dirtiest and most uncomfortable I have experienced. It was filthy, meaning it had not really been cleaned in several years; black mold in slower and kitchen sink; strong urine smell from toilet; some type of jellied substance near shower doors; dirty pots and pans; odor from fridge; everything was dirty, greasy, or dusty. Old food in cupboards. There was no heat source except a small space heater which didn’t do much. It was in the low 30’s farenheight one night; it was freezing. Host suggested I turn on stove burner. I grew up without running water and we had only wood heat and it was still warmer and cleaner than this place. I Came back from a 15 mile run and the hot water didn’t work. I had to wait around and trouble shoot the hot water with the host….what on earth? Then I complained about how dirty it was and someone came to clean the next day, but my socks were still black. Needs a deep cleaning and to be gutted. I was terrified to touch anything and definitely didn’t cook which was why I got an apartment. I felt dirty and cold the whole time. Paid in full for 5 nights but left a day early to stay somewhere else. It was horrible. There was no relaxing as I spent the whole time trying to keep warm and not touch anything unnecessary. Clearly these people don’t know that the less stuff, the better. One pot, one pan. No decorations etc. you can’t have no heat, broken hot water AND a disgusting environment. I can’t figure out how it had good reviews. Could not wait to leave and it made my visit to Tarija less than pleasant.

A great view and location with everything you might need for a comfortable stay.

We stayed 5 nights, it was a great stay. Fernando the host is very kind and speaks English as well as Spanish. The view from the kitchen was our favorite part. Kitchen fully stocked and everything is within walking distance. I highly recommend.

I extended my stay 2 extra days and if I had been on a looser schedule Idve liked to enjoy more that Studio Mirador and

this place truly felt more like a home than my actual home. it was similar but better in every way! it was difficult to leave because it was such a pleasure to stay in. going out in the neighbourhood was of course wonderful. I watched movies in English, did my laundry and ate meals here. took hot showers. Fernando was the best landlord you could ask for. He knew where all the good food and wine was to be found. such a friendly guy that you just wanted to talk to
