The location was great and having a bar and grill available is very convenient. You have direct access to the beach.

The elevators were not working properly. Only one was functioning on an extremely busy weekend. We did not have enough towels set up in our room. The pool was murky.

The location is absolutely amazing — the hotel is right on the beachfront. You walk out to the seawall and the stairs take you straight down to the beach. The staff was attentive and friendly, and check-in and check-out were easy. The pool was clean and nice, and the kids really enjoyed it. The restaurant is decent, with fairly standard but tasty American food. We had breakfast there twice and paid around $55 for two adults and a 10-year-old, including drinks, which seemed reasonable. One of the best parts of the hotel is the outdoor bar next to the pool. The hotel restaurant also serves the bar, drinks are reasonably priced, and there is live music. The free Saturday night karaoke was especially fun and finished before 11 PM, so noise wasn't an issue. Overall, for about $450 for two nights in a standard room with two queen beds, I think it's a decent place for a short beach stay without spending a fortune. I would stay here again for a couple of nights.

The hotel and the rooms definitely aren't fresh and could use some renovation. Nothing was terribly wrong, but there were lots of small annoying things: some lights didn't work, the water pressure in the shower was very weak, and the toilet didn't always flush properly. The room was generally clean where it mattered, but some less visible areas could have been cleaner. Sand gets into the room very quickly, which is obviously expected at a beachfront hotel, but there was no easy way to clean it up ourselves and there was no housekeeping during our weekend stay. The air conditioner worked fine, but it could only be controlled directly from the unit under the window. There was also a strange sliding bathroom door that, when open, completely covered the refrigerator and coffee maker — at first we actually thought the room didn't have them. Parking is not included even for hotel guests and costs $10 per night plus tax, which feels unnecessary. For a couple of nights, the great beachfront location and fun atmosphere make up for the dated facilities. For a longer beach vacation, though, I would prefer a larger apartment-style place with a living room and balcony.
