The location is excellent, the centre of Dinant is not very big and we were located on a nice square a few minutes walk from everything. We had come to cycle and were able to keep our bicycles within the property. The kitchen was a good size and had almost everything we needed, a frying pan would have been useful. There is a tight spiral staircase from the ground floor to reach the bedrooms, this would not suit travellers with mobility issues, and it wouldn't be easy to get a suitcase up the staircase, we had smaller bags so it was no problem. There is a small supermarket and boulangeries within 5minutes of the apartment. There are two excellent places to eat out nearby Cafe Leffe and across the bridge, near the station, Le Cafe Ardennais. From our experience i would be cautious of the cafes along the waterfront as the one meal we had was poor quality. Dinant doesn't have a lot to see, but is great as a cycling base, or to go kayaking etc. There are regular trains every 30 mins to Namur which is worth a visit if only for the excellent Barnabeer which serves over 40 beers on draught and innumerable others in bottles.
A frying pan would have been useful. All on street parking has to be paid for so you need to remember to do this daily every morning if not using your car, we didn't need ours at all for a four day stay.

Een mooi en ruim appartement in het hart van Dinant. Voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt voor een city trip. Het is schoon, ruime kamers en prima bedden. Mooi en goed gerenoveerd met behoud van de charme van een huis eind 19e eeuw. Vanuit het appartement zie je de Maas voorbij stromen én heb je uitzicht op her verlichte fort. Prima verblijf gehad!
Praktische tip: aparte bakken of zakken om afval gescheiden naar beneden te brengen zodat het ook makkelijk in de gescheiden verzamelbakken geplaatst kan worden.
