Location is ideal for Sunshine Plaza, Cotton Tree, and Ocean Street (Big Top) access. The breakfast was good but the bacon and sausages could definitely be cooked longer. The room was comfortable for a weekend visit.
The lifts are slow and even though we were on the first floor, we were advised we couldn't use the stairs.

Clean hotel in a good location with friendly staff.
Worst sleeping experience I have had in a hotel in a long time. The king bed was two singles pushed together with NO mattress topper to make the bed ‘feel’ more like a king. No big deal, but still.
What was completely unacceptable was a plastic mattress protector sewn to the mattress. This is a reputable hotel chain that expects ALL of its guests to sleep on top of a plastic sheet! Makes for an incredibly hot and sweaty poor night sleep. Absolutely DISGRACEFUL. Refer to photos attached.
Parents make kids who wet the bed sleep on plastic sheets. This hotel treats all its guests the same as little kiddies who wet the bed. Crap night sleep = crap next day = waste of time leaving home. Holiday inn Maroochydore = waste of money.
