Convenient for sailings on the Paddle Steamer Waverley-which was my sole reason for staying-being right on Custom House Quay. Have stayed many times before for this very reason. Plenty of takeaways close by as well as Tim’s Groovy Tavern (that’s Wetherspoons).

easy to access. satisfactory room and amenities. tv was an added bonus. a bit dated but adequate for a hostel.
maybe newer bedding and towels.

The room was clean as was the bedding and ensuite toilet/shower. There was tea, coffee and pods of milk supplied.
Clean towels were also supplied
The convection heater worked well to heat the room
There was a strong smell of damp in my room this time that I never experienced the last time I stayed, the toilet had the air of being used by men.
