Comfy beds and sizable yet cozy rooms. Great communication from the hosts. Really good value for money. A stones throw away from Thors Cave. Lovely drives to must-see places, e.g., around half an hour to Bakewell and just under an hour to Castleton.
Damp on the walls and mouldy in places, but didn't smell bad. Property could do with some TLC. This is the only reason the property didn't meet our expectations. Could do with more pots and pans if cooking full meals at the property.

Location, cleanliness, kitchen cooker v clean. Hot water . Good towels. Welcome pack good . Communication good. Parking good.
Non opening window in bedroom. Carpet stains, .shower only top head. Pillows hard in twin bedroom.
No coasters to protect furniture. Standard lamp requires new shade. Lighting downstairs poor. Table lamps perhaps . End of season tiredness .

Great properties, plenty of space for our family, clean and had everything we needed for our trip. We stayed as two groups and the cottages we’re next door to each other. Great location for where we wanted to be also.

Went here for my daughters 21st birthday. Last time we were here was when she was a couple of years old in the very same cottage!
Got to the cottage the key box code had been changed by a new management company that had only taken over on the previous Monday and we hadnt been told! Stood in the rain trying to get a mobile signal to call someone for the correct code because the cottage is right off the grid. Eventually got in basically without listing everything the cottage needs a make over. Carpets very stained! Damp patches on the wall in the twin bedroom! Strange constant humming noise all the time like a distant lawn mower! I presumed it was something to do with the heating. Only two knives and forks! No valence sheet on the double bed! Curtains in the twin room inches too short! Theres a few other things but for the price we paid we put up with them and we were out everyday. Other than all that everything was fine. Would stay again if the issues we found were rectified.
