An 8-bedroom pool home remodeled and newly furnished in 2022, close to both downtown Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. With some serious style and a Joshua Tree meets Palm Springs vibe, this is a stunner, with sweeping views of the entire Coachella Valley. The Space: The Kitchen: Very well equipped. 5 burner cooktop, double convection oven. Over-size refrigerator and freezer plus wine fridge (and huge backup fridge/freezer in the garage). Two dishwashers. Microwave. Large kitchen sink + bar sink. Lots of pots, pans, cutlery, related. Dishes, cups, cutlery, serving platters, etc., to serve the largest of groups. The Living Room: Large couch, large bench seat, 4 chairs. 65” flatscreen Smart TV with both cable and streaming channels. Soundbar. The Dining areas: Inside: 4 at the kitchen island, 10 at the dining table, and 4+ at the adjacent Cowboy table; allow 18 to dine at once. Outside: Table for 8 + table for 4 (recently added) allow up to 12 to dine outside at once. The Game Room: The garage has been converted into a game room and lounge, with a/c and heat. Pool table and Ping-pong table. Video games (just added). Elliptical machine. Lounge area with a couch + large-screen smart TV with cable and streaming apps. Full Bath #4 adjoins this room. Huge extra refrigerator/freezer. Extra washer/dryer. The Grounds: 5 acres of grounds. Tons of parking. Private, enclosed courtyard area with a beautiful Pool with salt (heated with fee). Separate Spa Tub (heated for free). Also, separate large fenced landscaped area (good for pets). The Beds and Baths: This home features 8 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Bedroom 1: King bed, 2 swivel chairs, attached large bathroom (bath #1), double sink, walk-in multi-area shower. Large walk-in closet. STUNNING views of the windmills and mountains. Adjacent to the laundry room. Bedroom 2: Queen bed. Hall access to bath #2. Bedroom 3: King bed. Hall access to bath #2. Bedroom 4: King bed. Hall access to bath #2 or #4. Bedroom 5: King bed. Attached access to Bath #3 (jack and jill access) Bedroom 6: Two Twin beds (can convert to King if requested ahead of time). Attached access to Bath #3 (jack and jill access) Bedroom 7: Accessed through the game room/garage.Two twin beds, each with a twin trundle that can pull out. Hall access to bath #4. Casita Bedroom 8: This detached Casita/Bedroom is accessed via the enclosed courtyard. King bed + twin daybed with twin pull-out trundle bed. Kitchenette. Attached bath #5. The property was luxurious, very clean, and well equipped for a large group. There was kitchenware more than enough for a large group. It was also truly nice to have two ovens, two refrigerators and even two dishwashers at our disposal. It is obvious that a lot of effort was put into this house. However, if you plan to use all 8 bedrooms, just be aware that room #8 is a small room in the garage, and it isn’t as nice as all the others. It also doesn’t have a closet. It was awesome to learn that the place had a ping-pong table, a treadmill, and an additional TV set in the garage. Our group enjoyed playing there. We rented the place for a weeklong workshop, rather than to celebrate, so our group was a very quiet one. Still, we kept receiving reminders about a local ordinance prohibiting outdoor noise after 9pm. This was quite ironic, since the property is located right next to the San Gorgonio Pass wind farm, and the noise generated by an on-property windmill was nothing short of deafening, even throughout the night. While the hosts were very responsive and welcoming, we were told there was nothing they could do about the noise. It might have been an unusually windy week, but the strong winds, combined with the noise outdoors, made it impossible to use the beautiful courtyard and pool. At least we enjoyed the spacious living room which is furnished with plenty of seating and a really large TV. One other thing to note is that we were charged a $268 Booking Fee, payable directly to the property management. This extra fee isn’t included in the property listing. Also, the contract you’d be asked to sign is different from the one on the property listing.
