The description included the locked doors and signage of "do not open" others because they lead into other apartments, apparently. BUT, it didn't mention that noises from adjacent rooms may SOUND like they're in your space. It was frightening. There was a large screen in the living room and two remotes on the coffee table. Neither power switch activated the screen. So, no viewing. There was a large, multi-faceted coffee pot without instructions. Seemed to be several places to accept the coffee and water, but no way to know which to use. So, no coffee. Which wasn't a big deal, because I'd used the one paper cup in the kitchen for water the evening before. And while I could have fished it out of the garbage, I chose not to. The furtniture in the living room, unfortunately, was NOT represented in the photos of the condo which looked modern and comfortable. The aroma of flowery scented towels, sheets, et al, was too strong for my preference. (I actually perfer no scent except clean.) The rug by the front door under the desk needed vacuuming. And I discovered a wadded up kleenex between my bed sheets. Also I had asked VRBO to remove the $20 charge for an "extra person" because I was the one and only user. That didn't happen.

Apparentely there are other condos accessable through "Please do not Enter"-signed doors. In the evening, the noise from those sites sounded like they were in my space. It was quite scary. The toilet is a child's toilet, about 17" tall. All the towels and sheets smell as though they were laundered in highly scented detergents, etc. I found a wadded kleenex between the sheets of my bed. There were no instructions with either of the remotes to the large screen. Neither of their "on" buttons turned anything on. There was a large coffee pot, also without any instructions, so I really couldn't uitilize it--way more complex than any I've ever operated. One paper cup was available. Pillows on the bed were oversized and hard. And every light in the apt. was bright bright bright and overhead. Garrish. Also, the living room furniture is NOT what appears on the rental page...it's now all oversized sofa, two chairs (maybe the same as in the picture.) Also, the small carpet under the desk at the front door needs to be vaccumed. I couldn't sleep and couldn't wait to get out of there. In fact I forfeited another night that was prepaid, unrefundable. So, bye bye VRBO Sorry, I'd so expected to be thrilled by it. The neighborhood is beautiful.

Very homey! Even with minor issues checking in late in the evening, the host was very gracious to us and assisted us with checking in to the place. The property itself was very spacious and homey, and the neighborhood it was located in looked really nice as well. Highly recommend!

This was a great place to stay for our family of 4. Nice, finished basement apartment that is an easy distance from JMU! Thank you for hosting us! We enjoyed it!
