See our website, High Mountain Cabin Rentals, for more information. This nice and comfortable 3 bedroom cabin with 2 and half bathrooms is just what you've been looking for. Escape the summer heat by staying at our cabin, "Grandfather View" with an elevation over 3,500'. We are located just 3.1 miles to Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zipling. You can also enjoy hiking at the close by Otter Falls. Otter Falls is located in Seven Devils and about a 10 minute drive from our driveway. At "Grandfather View", we believe that nobody should be left behind. Why leave your 4-legged family member home when you can bring them along for the adventure. Well behaved dogs are welcomed for a one-time nonrefundable pet fee of $75 (plus tax) per each dog with management approval. Excellent location with all paved access (driveway is graveled but flat) within minutes to snow tubing, zip lining, skiing, shopping, and everything else in the High Country. The town of Seven Devils is centrally located to Banner Elk, Boone, Blowing Rock, and all of the major attractions in the area. Main Floor: Once you walk in, you'll be greeted by our spacious open floor plan with cathedral ceilings. The living room has a flat screen TV and a nice stone gas fireplace to cozy up to during those cold winter days. There is a powder room on this main floor as well. You can access the deck on the back of the home to enjoy the views of Grandfather Mountain! The kitchen has granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, built in microwave, and side by side fridge with in-door ice/water dispenser. The dining table can comfortably seat up to 6 guests. The master bedroom boasts a king size bed, flat screen TV, and an En Suite bathroom with a tub/shower combo and his/hers sinks. Upper Level: There are 2 additional bedrooms along with a full bathroom and loft on the upper floor. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the 3rd bedroom has a bunk bed. The loft area has additional seating and sleeping with sleeper sofa (NOTE: We do not endorse sleeper sofas or futons for any guests over 12 years of age due to the comfort factors). Outside: There is a nice deck to enjoy the views of Grandfather Mountain with plenty of seating. Plus there is a gas grill on the back deck as well. The covered front porch has additional seating to enjoy the outdoors. The front porch chairs can also be used at the fire pit which is in the front of the home as well. Important Notes: ***The cabin is access by state maintained paved roads. However, you it may be necessary to have 4X4 vehicles with tire chains during the winter months. ***The owners use outdoor surveillance cameras to ensure that their home remains safe. No cameras monitor the inside rooms of the home. ***There is no land-line phone in this cabin. Cell phone coverage is not guaranteed. The home does have WIFI so you may be able to call using WIFI calling. ***No Smoking inside the cabin ***Minimum age requirement is 25 years old ***Check in time: 4:00 PM; Check out time: 10:00 AM As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, ice and some foggy days with occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy and dangerous in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains may be necessary. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO refunds, allowances, or date change resulting from your negligence in this matter.

We had a lovely stay. The cabin is clean, with a beautiful view of Grandfather Mountain from both the deck and the hot tub. The fire pit is excellent, and you have plenty of privacy.
The location is a quick drive to Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. The roads are narrow, but there is very little traffic. We had no issues getting in and out.

There were only 1 towel and 1 washcloth for each person. Animal hair was everywhere. I would not stay there again.

We took my 13, soon to be 14 year old son to the mountains for his birthday weekend. He hand picked this cabin for its views and space which neither disappointed. It was nice we were also able to bring along our pups as well which also had a great time lying in front of the fireplace and enjoying the views from the back porch. The family has already designated this as a yearly trip and we plan on staying at Grandfather View again. Thanks to the property manager for such a great experience.

Stunning view on the Profile mountain and other top picks! The house is spatial and well equipment, more than we expected by a property management initial email. Stacey is very easy to communicate and help us with all questions. Roads in Seven Devils have big slopes and curves, so be prepared AWD and/or snow chains.

Great Weekend Getaway
Had a wonderful weekend at Grandfather View. Traveled to the area to spend the weekend tubing for a 10 year olds birthday.
The cabin was well appointed and had everything we needed to cook several meals. The view from the living room and loft was amazing.

Awesome Views
Great view of Grandfather Mountain with sunrise and sunsets! We were routinely visited by several deer. Easy access to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Comfy and pleasant stay
The cabin was beautiful, spacious for us and our guests. We were lucky to experience great weather which allowed us to have the view of Grandfather mountain. The cabin had everything we needed. Can’t say enough about the location, we were only 20 mins from Boone and the drive was pleasant with gorgeous views.
The only thing I would have a complaint about is the cleanliness; the queen bedroom sheets were not changed, there was animal hair and human hair. Also there’s a stain on the stairs and the towels smelled dewy and had stains, like they hadn’t been washed/dried all the way.

It is right in the middle of Boone, Baner Elk, grandfather, and Linville….all places we ended up going while we were there! Would definitely stay here again!!

We’ve stayed in many homes, in many different states and this was by far the dirtiest. Thick layer of dust on every flat surface. 1 inch of dog fur stuck to the bottom of every chair leg at the kitchen table. Couches were covered in fur. Dead bugs everywhere. *Kitchen and bathrooms were clean and linens were clean. Contacted property manager regarding the state of the home and sent her pictures. She did respond that they had a new housekeeper and would address the issues. A partial cleaning fee refund should have been offered/issued to us as we spent our own time cleaning/dusting some of the main areas because living/breathing-in that amount of dust and fur was unacceptable.

Quick Trip
This is our first time to North Carolina. I wanted a winter vacation and we definitely got one. It snowed a couple times, we were able to enjoy the local tubing. The house was perfect for the days when we were snowed in and couldn’t get down the mountain. Plenty of room for our four adults two teenagers a dog and a two-year-old. Would definitely stay here again. I must say this is probably one of the well-stocked kitchens I’ve ever had and any VRBO. Would love to stay again with just my hubby.

We had an amazing trip to Seven Devils! It’s extremely close to the ski slopes, grandfather mountain, and convenient to grocery stores. The house looks exactly like the photos and overall we very much enjoyed the stay. I will say it could have been a little cleaner. Many kitchen items we pulled out to use had food on them and were greasy. The hot tub also could use a scrub. The biggest issue we had was that neither of us had a phone signal even though I was told people with Verizon would be fine and the WiFi signal was non-existent. Also the landline didn’t work so if there was an actual emergency there would be no way to notify local authorities. Overall a very fun and enjoyable trip.

I was just 27 years old and my first thought was would I even see my first born turn 5? This weekend we celebrated his 5th birthday and the cabin made it the PERFECT trip! Extremely clean, equipped with everything you need and more, beautiful views, beautiful home and friendly neighbors are just a few great things that describe where we stayed. The house is in a great location to get to Valle Crusis, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, and Grand Father Mountain. We will certainly be back again and hopefully if we can make it work, before the winter is over with! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous home with us.
