“Tree Tops” at 661 Falls Dr. W., Highlands, NC 28741 is located in the gated community of Highlands Falls Country Club (HFCC). This is a 3 bed/3 bath home with large indoor wood burning fireplace, 4 outdoor entertaining areas including a screened porch with vaulted ceilings that sits among the treetops with winter mountain skyline views in the distance! The cottage is approximately 1,700 square feet of living area, excluding outdoor spaces.
Whether you are in the Highlands, area for a vacation, family gathering, or just to enjoy the cool mountain environment, you will love the convenience of being just 7 minutes (3.1 miles) to Main Street in Highlands coupled with the security and serenity of the HFCC gated community.
Tree Tops offers an open floor plan with soaring ceilings, a large cornerstone wood-burning fireplace , fully stocked kitchen and living/dining areas opening to the vaulted screened porch, providing the ultimate in outdoor living and entertaining. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are both master suites (one with its own private deck space) each with upgraded king bedding and en-suite, newly renovated bathrooms. Downstairs, the 3rd bedroom has a queen bed, en-suite newly renovated bath and its own private deck. Importantly, the living, dining, kitchen, screened porch and deck spaces plus Bedrooms 1 and 2 are all on the main level (no stair access necessary). The 3rd bedroom, en-suite bath and private deck are on the lower level.
Treetops has broadband internet service and premium cable to enjoy the use of the smart flat screens in the den, screened porch and in all three bedrooms.
Close to downtown Highlands it’s easy to attend live concerts, arts and crafts shows and seasonal farmers markets held at Kelsey Hutchinson Park, or one of the live performances at the Performing Arts Center or Playhouse. Excellent hiking and other mountain activities are nearby.
Guests do not have access to HFCC's facilities as it is a private club. However, the Highlands Rec Center offers visitors daily or weekly options to use the heated/covered pool, the fitness center, tennis and pickleball courts and special events throughout the year. Public golf options are also available in the area.
