Located in Elizabethton, this charming cabin for $130 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Magnolia Cabin is located at the headwaters of the trophy trout section on the beautiful Watauga River. Magnolia is a small 500 square feet private cabin equipped with modern appliances & granite counter tops. Relax on our back deck! A guest favorite…our back deck is the place to enjoy the great outdoors while watching the river go by. You might even see someone catching a fish! Featuring a sitting area and fire pit, this relaxed setting is the perfect place to unwind. This section of the Watauga River is a fisherman's paradise! You can walk off the large covered back porch down to a wadable river to fish, kayak, or watch wildlife. Located on a country road, you would think you are a long way from civilization, but travel four miles down the road and you can pick up anything you need. The cabin is fully equipped with linens and all household items. All you need to bring is personal items and food. We hope you will enjoy it as much we do! We look forward to meeting you!

Well appointed cabin on the river. Thoroughly enjoyed morning coffee on the deck watching the fly fishermen. The cabin had more amenities than any hotel. Very comfortable. Look forward to staying again in the future.

The cabin and property were great. This cabin is pretty new and in great shape. We brought some things that we didn't need based on the VRBO information. The owner Patti Whidden was awesome. VRBO neglected to provide the check-in information 7 days before as shown on the confirmation. I contacted Patti and immediately the VRBO confirmation arrived. Thank goodness for the great owners/hosts like Patty since VRBo seems to be less professional than it should be.

We are so blessed to have stayed at this property again! Have been coming here for years for a family reunion in NE Tennessee. This is our first time staying in the Magnolia Cabin and it was so very nice, clean and comfortable. The Hosts and property managers really take care of their guests! Would highly recommend this cabin for a couple, and they are pet friendly !!!

This place was perfect! We stayed in the Magnolia house which was super nice and was just recently built. It's a perfectly sized standalone cabin with a giant front porch overlooking the river. I highly recommend and will definitely choose this place again as it is a great distance from either Elizabethton and Johnson City.

Wonderful cabin overlooking the Wautaga River. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the porch and fishing in the river. The cabin had everything we needed for our getaway. When a night of torrential rains made for some seriously muddy, messy river water, we headed to nearby Roan Mountain and did some hiking. We would definitely recommend the Magnolia Cabin to our friends.

The two main requirements we have when renting are a good kitchen and a large shower. This place had both. It was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. We loved relaxing on the porch listening to the river and hope to return next year.

Nice cabin with king size bed. Very peaceful by the river. We liked sitting out on the front porch. The Wi-Fi is a bit spotty. The kitchen has the basics. You will want to bring with you cooking oil and Kleenex. Otherwise, everything is pretty well stocked.

We enjoyed it overall, but the wifi is terrible which meant the tv's barely worked. We tried to watch a movie and it stopped every few minutes to the point we gave up. Luckily, we had great weather and could be outside, but if you're going to do internet tv, the internet should work consistently. We also tried to grill one evening and the grill didn't work hardly at all. I had to finish cooking the burgers on the stovetop. If the wifi and grill worked, it would be 5 stars for sure

This was a great place for a family reunion. The view off the back porch of the main lodge was magical. Especially in the afternoon.

Only glitch was that the email with the code to get in had the wrong code. I called the number provided and I asked what is the trick to open the door. He said no trick what code are you using? I told him the code I was sent and he said well you are using the wrong code. No apology. He gave me another code and I was finally able to get in. Some directions on how to use the lock would have been helpful. Other than that a wonderful, clean great place to stay.

Stayed here for the bristol dirt race, only about a 25 minute ride to the track. Pictures dont do it justice, its really nice and we wish we could of stayed longer.

This little cabin was just great! Everything was clean and well stocked. The porch was great and the river flowing just a few feet away was so relaxing. We will definitely be booking again when we’re back in the area!

The location and view are great. I was surprisedly disappointed there was no table and chairs inside to eat off of or play cards/games on.

We loved our stay at this adorable cabin and found it a great step away with our dogs! They loved running around the large grassy area and playing in the river. The space is remote yet close enough to all the amenities we wanted for our eventful weekend.
Would highly recommend for a nice getaway!

Beautiful nice small cabin on the river. Cabin was clean and inviting. The location on the river was peaceful. Having the gas grill was a nice bonus. Owner was quick to respond and more than willing to work to accommodate our request for early check in. Would stay here again for sure if in the area. Only thing I would change is letting the renters know the washer and dryer is not located at the cabin and is shared with other rental units.

We started with 2 nights and extended to 4 total. The river, farm and entire property is so peaceful and beautiful. I was able to use my laptop on the deck and watch people fly fish on the river. It was a much-needed rest. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. We will be recommending Watauga River Cabins!

We have stayed multiple times at Watauga River Cabins while visiting our daughter in Johnson City. The creativity and attention to detail and comfort always amazes me. The Magnolia cabin was very impressive from design to cleanliness. The porch and view made a great place to visit with family. The Whiddens and Mr. Phil are the best hosts, taking care of all our needs. We are so looking forward to coming back in October.

Down to visit our daughter at ETSU and the cabin was only about 12 minutes from her place in Johnson City, yet felt like a world away. Right on the Watauga River and very well-kept inside. We'll stay again if the opportunity presents itself!

Once again I can’t say enough good things about the Wautauga River Cabins. The area where the cabins are located is absolutely beautiful. The river is calming and peaceful. The cabins are always clean and inviting. There’s everything that you need for a comfortable stay. If you should need anything, Phil, the property manager is always right there to provide. He’s the best! Already booked for our next stay unless we get to squeeze another weekend before then. We’re always looking forward to returning to the cabins by the river.
