Good location & parking, some practical points to think about in advance (that caused extra stress)

The location of this property is very good, the allocated parking (see small sign on wall) is also very useful. The apartment is well furnished, especially for just 2 people. (note that to access the parking you need to drive up the road behind the flat, and then its up one floor using the stairs/lift to find the flat on the ground floor)

There are some negatives that should be taken into account before arrival. As other reviewers have mentioned, you have to collect the key from an agency. Although only a 30 minute drive from Calais they do not speak any English (so had to use Google Translate on phone). On arrival at the agency they ask you to sign a tenancy agreement and pay a 500 Euro deposit... you also find out you need to clean the flat (kitchen, toilet, bathrooms... sweep the floors) if you want to get your deposit back... cleaning is not included in the rental charge? We found out in advance that we would also need to pay extra for bedding, or bring our own sheets... we decided to bring our own (family of 2 adults and 2 kids)... but although we asked repeatedly about the size of beds, they confirmed what was needed about 10 minutes before we arrived to collect the key (having driving over from the UK....) (the answer is two double beds, including the sofa bed, but the pillows are EU size, so larger than the UK standard) The sofa bed is ok, but I would not recommend sleeping on it for too long. There are instructions at the flat (mostly around cleaning), again in French, after a few days we found some hand written notes in a drawer... this was when we found out you have to turn off the water supply to the toilet flush after it fills with water or it leaks... (we had done this already due to the noise of dripping). Looking at previous reviews, this has not been fixed for 6-months. We did meet the owner, when he arrived to take the cot we have requested out of locked storage, and he seemed very nice. He had just driven back from a holiday, so it then became evident that earlier when I asked the agent about a copy of an inventory (as I was being asked to sign a long agreement in French, which would be checked against an inventory...) and they said they did not have one but the owner had taken a "video inventory" that morning... then they were "mistaken".....

Unexpectedly nice!

Location in the city centre, close to the Dalton market and the fortified city. Private parking behind the apartment. Apartment is at backside of the building, ground floor. Not the best view but very quiet. Boulogne is a nice central place to visit the Cote Opale, Le Touquet, Montreuil, St Omer and the lovely countryside east of Boulogne.

Heating (shared system) not in operation despite cold days end of aeptember. Electric portable/movable heater supplied.

We had a great time in the apartment, we loved it’s location so much! at the heart of the Center ♥️the surrounding is mo

the localisation is great! it’s in the heart of the city, we had a parking where our car stays all thoughout our 3 nights stay! we visited Nausicaa by foot; it was amazing! we had at least 2 fair dry weather and a great dinner at “Dalton’s” restaurant where the food is great and very kind staff! One of my kids caught colds and we needed a few quantity of honey which unfortunately I we forgot to purchase earlier in the day; we only have bought lemons and ginger)! We then asked a waiter if they could help us and we proposed to pay since my son needed it for his aching throat; much to our surprise, they handed us a big amount of bio honey (well packed in a plastic ware and wrapped with a sling wrapper! Thanks so much again “Dalton’s “!!

the dirty streets:( and the foul smell, nevertheless it’s in an old building, so it’s explainable; and the loud noise upstairs:((! it was just for a night , so it’s ok. The apartment itself is clean!
