The rooms were very clean, great views of the park. We could hear the sea lions on an evening and we saw the penguins too. We also hired.a travel cot which was all set up for us and we mentioned in our booking that it was my little boy's birthday and there were balloons and a postcard in the room, which was a lovely touch.
Breakfast was fab, lots of choice and nice and hot, staff were very attentive filling everything up. We ate in the bistro in the evening and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Very useful having extra facilities on each floor like a microwave, sink, etc which meant we could sterilise our bottles for our 4 month old, all hotels which are family friendly should have these facilities so impressed with that.

Hotel overlooking parts of the wildlife park, fluffy towels, good selection of tea/coffee in room, lovely welcome message on TV, two different level windows for younger/shorter guests, fridge on room, friendly and helpful staff, nice treasure trail around HEX for younger guests, Evolution atmosphere was good fun. Light projections within the hotel of different animals. The given discounts for HEX activities such as the soft play
Windows didn't open so didn't get the 'sounds' from the wildlife, there was a lack of facilities, especially for younger guests, and activities in the hotel e.g. swimming pool/games room/entertainment/animal based activities (we note that the on site mini golf being build will help with this but as it wasn't open at the time the sentiments apply). The AC was on constantly with no instructions on how to adjust it, there were a couple of holes in the curtains that let light in early morning, the 'sounds' of other guests carried down the corridor. The location of the trees outside of the room obscured the view of the park that we had paid extra for. There was a lack of food options in Evolution and no one asked if the adults would have like a dessert or another drink after the main meal
