This is a great place to stay if you want to go to the Rio party’s but don’t want to stay there.
The pool and hot tub is excellent and the air con was phenomenal! The staff were lovely and flexible. It’s a fun place to, we met lots of people around the pool having a few drinks before heading to Rio.
The house is great. However the food options around the area are awful so just be aware of that.

- At check-in, the lady was very indifferent and seemed completely uninterested. She didn’t provide us with any information and came across as quite cold and unhelpful. Later, we brought some beers from outside, and another staff member was annoyed that we had brought our own drinks. Well, if someone had told us beforehand that we were expected to purchase drinks from the property, it would have been a different story. Anyhow, both ladies were unpleasant to interact with.
- There is no proper window as such. You can open the wooden shutters, but that leaves you fully exposed to the outside, with no mosquito net or glass. Sometimes we wanted to let in some daylight without having the window fully open, but that’s not really possible unless you want to be completely exposed to the outdoors.

This is an absolute gem in Buritaca! Clean, well-maintained, attentive staff and a great location. Only a 20 minute walk from Rio hostel and cheaper than staying in a dorm there. We were so glad to come back to a clean, air-conditioned room after attending the party at Rio. The pool is kept immaculately too, the staff clean it regularly even though there are a few trees around. Three parrots live on the property, they can be a little noisy but they are beautiful and the staff even let me hold them! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Buritaca.
The shower pressure wasn’t great and there didn’t seem to be hot water. It wasn’t much of an issue because it was so hot outside that a cold shower was welcome.
