Sitting right on deep water in the Rock Creek area of Crane Hill on Smith Lake, this home is ready for fun rain or shine! This home is large enough to accommodate your vacation group inside or outside. Perfect for entertaining, the outdoor deck features a large, screened porch food prep area and outdoor dining area. Gather around the gas firepit and enjoy the sunset, or hang out on the water at the well maintained dock with boat slip and plenty of chairs. Beautiful, year-round water is an understatement! Whether splashing in the lake, boating, or fishing, our beautifully decorated home is the perfect place to do it all. Rainy day? Not a problem. Entertain yourself in the detached game room that has a foosball table and air hockey table, Smart TV, and board games. Need to get some work done? While we hope you can just relax while visiting, there is a small workspace right off the kitchen with a desk and office chair. THE LAYOUT OF THE 2,400 SQFT HOME: The main portion of the home is all one level with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room, and office alcove. * Primary Bedroom: King Bed with Smart TV and attached en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi tub. * Bedroom 2: Queen Bed with Smart TV * Bedroom 3: Twin over Twin bunk with third twin (pull out trundle) * Bedroom 4/ Game Room: Detached from the main house and accessible from the outdoor walkway. Queen over queen bunk (only 1 adult or 2 children on the top bunk. 200lbs weight limit on top bunk), air hockey table, foosball table, and smart tv * Kitchen Dining: Seats 8 at the table and 3 at the bar. Coffee maker is a dual maker that takes basket filters or single serve pods. * Living Room: Queen pull out sofa with gel foam mattress and Smart TV: INDOOR FIREPLACE IS NON-OPERATIONAL * Dedicated Work Area: Small alcove off of the kitchen with desk and office chair. Boat Slip Dimensions: 25 x 11 Please note that a few of the closets will be locked and inaccessible. ITEMS WE PROVIDE: We provide all bathroom and bed linens, and a starter pack consisting of: * A couple of laundry and dish pods * Hand soap * Dish soap and clean sponge * Enough paper products to get you started * Internet Service * We do not have cable tv. There are smart tv's for all your streaming accounts GUESTS PROVIDE THEIR OWN PROPANE FOR GRILL AND GAS FIRE PIT. INDOOR GAS FIREPLACE IS NON-OPERATIONAL CAMERA DISCLOSURE: There are two exterior security cameras. There is one that faces the dock from the screened in porch. One that faces the driveway in the front. They monitor movement and video at the front entrance and the dock. Motion Activated Recording. They can monitor sound if we put them on that setting, but we don't unless we feel the need. BOOKING PROCESS: Submit a booking request (send an inquiry if you only have a question). The host will contact you with a few questions before approving the booking. Right after your booking is confirmed, you will receive a rental agreement via email. This must be signed within 24 hours of booking. You can view a copy of the rental agreement under the "House Rules" section of the listing. Please read the entire listing and the rental agreement before booking. Two days prior to arrival, guests will receive an email with check-in instructions. Cleaning Fee $300 Refundable Deposit $300. This will be a hold on the account two weeks prior to arrival depending upon which platform the reservation was booked through. Cancellation Fee: $75 We process our own payments and we are charged by the credit card company every time funds are transferred to us or back to you. This fee covers the cost of transferring funds. Cancellation: Please refer to the policy associated with the platform that was used to make your reservation. If booking directly on our website, 100% refund up to 30 days prior to reservation. No refund given if cancellation is within 30 days of the reservation. WE DO NOT ALLOW THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS (Booking on behalf of another guest). Guest making the reservation must the present at the property during the reservation and must be at least 25 years of age. We look forward to being YOUR Go-To Smith Lake Home! Check-Out Procedures: Take out all trash. Please place it in the outdoor trashcans by the mailbox/street. Place all used towels on the bathroom floor but leave sheets and bedding on the bed. Wash dishes and run the dishwasher. Don’t forget to log out of your Amazon, Netflix or other streaming services on the TVs. Please ensure that all exterior doors are locked (We have a lot of doors!)

We had a group of 9 for the weekend and had plenty of space. The sleeping arrangements were excellent, especially being able to put 4 teenagers in their separate, but still attached room! The lake and dock area were enjoyed by everyone. I would highly recommend this property!

We had an enjoyable family vacation here for a few days with a pontoon boat rental. The hostess provided all the information we sought including where to rent from. The game room was an added bonus for family fun, and the screened in porch provided a great evening hangout.

We enjoyed our stay here, and Allison was so helpful and quick to respond to all of our questions. She accommodated all of our requests and questions perfectly! This was our first trip to Smith Lake, and this property exceeding all of our expectations. We were in a perfect area on the water and hope to book our stay here again next year!

We absolutely adored the property!! The kitchen is well stocked and the views are so peaceful and beautiful. We didn't try to navigate the roads to get there after dark but it was not a problem staying in and relaxing on the porch and the dock. (We didn't have the best phone service at times and it was a drive to get to the property. ) Verizon didn't work well but ATT service was great. Wifi worked well too onsite. Stairs are steep so keep in mind if you have little ones or elderly. Sunrise and sunsets on the porch were dreamy and we did not want to leave! The game room was perfect to watch a movie , play games and hang out. We felt completely safe and it was quiet and very peaceful. Water was a little cool for us in mid May so we didn't use paddleboards. We are already planning our return trip there!!

Most of our time was spent on the screened in porch- eating at the table, rocking and observing lake life, listening to wildlife and each other! I enjoyed walking down to the floating deck/ boat dock to sun and cool off in the lake using a provided float. My parents declared that they were now “lake people”! Thank you for making this weekend a true gift!

We were able to spend an unplanned few days with close family friends at "Dock around the clock". It was our first time to Smith Lake. The pictures online do not give justice to how pretty the area is and the amazing lake views from the house. The dock was a favorite spot with the kids playing in the water and on the paddle boards. The house was great, especially with the detached game room, with plenty of room for our two families. We could have spent the whole time enjoying the different sitting areas on the decks. The house was clean and well appointed for our needs. The whole point to the trip was to spend time with friends, the house made the time that much better.

Even has a second fridge, which would be critical for a large group on a week-long stay as shopping is 30 (Dollar Gen) to 45 (Walmart) minutes away via a plethora of 2-lane country roads. North-facing lake views are stunning, allowing ability to see sunrise and sunset to your right and left. Life here is all about the lake - this is not a location with tourist attractions to take kids to. It feels blissfully off-the-grid yet the Wi-Fi and tv streaming worked well on multiple devices! Do note that the house sits @40’ above the lake - while the very steep walkway to the dock is sturdy and well-railed, there are a couple places out back that have treacherous drop-offs, so small children would need to be corralled at all times. The game room bedroom is a separate building with its own bathroom…our teenagers adored the privacy but would also offer nice separation for multiple families!

With family traveling in town for an extended visit, I thought we'd try the lake rather than the beach. This property on Smith Lake is close to both Huntsville and Birmingham. The view from the deck and screened porch are just as shown. The dock was roomy and the entire area was peaceful. We couldn't have asked for a better view, layout and all around wonderful house on the lake for our family.

This place was amazing. Has a perfect spot overlooking the open lake. We all had a great time swimming and jumping off the dock. The kayaks and SUP were used daily by our crew! Such a great added touch to offer free of charge. We even rented a boat one day and had a blast checking out the beautiful lake. We did notice that two of the steps leading down to the lake are in need of repair and could be dangerous if stepped on the wrong way. Also, the ladder leading down into the water needs to be retightened into place. But overall we would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your property!!

The house was perfect for our family visit with two young children. The property was immaculate and had lots of amenities provided. The dock was great and we all enjoyed our time swimming in and looking at the beautiful lake. It is a lovely retreat.

Fantastic lake home, perfect for families with teens
We booked this home for five nights over the long Memorial Day weekend. We were extremely pleased with the overall experience.
The kitchen is well-equipped with lots of serving and baking dishes and everything you would find in your own kitchen including a large crockpot. The screened-porch over looking the lake was fabulous, and we ate every meal out there. The dock itself is spacious with a bar for hanging out along with paddleboards (2) and kayaks (2) that were so nice to have when we were not on the boat we rented. There is plenty of room to unpack with spacious closets and chest of drawers.
My son invited three of us friends to join us for part of the stay. They LOVED the game run complete with bunk beds and a pull-out sofa. Despite me offering them to make use of the other bedrooms in the home - they all bunked in together! The space has it's own bathroom, air hockey table, foosball and large TV. It does have a separate entrance but still steps away from the main house. They had an absolute blast! And my husband and I enjoyed the peace and quite at night! :-) The Publix is a 45-minute drive, so I recommend bringing what you need so you only have to take maybe one trip to the store. The sunset views were spectacular! The home was clean with lots of extra blankets and plenty of bath towels. There is an extra freezer in the laundry room. The owners are extremely responsive when I had a few questions. Overall, I highly recommend this home especially if you have older children who want to hang separately but close enough you can keep a watchful eye!

House couldn't have been better. Well kept and maintained. Great property and views! The only downside to speak of would be the roads (not their fault just the lack of maintained country roads) to the house, and the distance it is from a store or ability to aquire something.
