We had such a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel and were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. A huge part of what made our experience so special was the incredible staff, particularly Ellie at reception and Ambrose, our driver.
Ellie was absolutely fantastic. She was so warm, friendly and accommodating, and nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. No matter what question we had or what we needed help with, she went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. She organised taxis for us into town, helped arrange tours and was always there to offer advice or answer any questions we had. She genuinely seemed to care that we were enjoying our time in Arusha, and her kindness and helpfulness made such a difference to our stay.
Ambrose was equally brilliant. He picked us up from the airport and immediately made us feel at ease. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about Arusha and the surrounding area, giving us a little tour and sharing his local knowledge along the way. He brought us in and out of town, helped us meet up with our tour operator and guide, and was always so patient, reliable and accommodating.
The hotel itself is gorgeous and we had a lovely big room with a balcony to enjoy. The swimming pool is really nice and the roof top bar is very peaceful. We stayed here before Kilimanjaro and it was a great place to relax before starting our bike.
Nothing. As others have said the road to the hotel is bad and repairing it is out of the control of the hotel. But it's only 5 minutes and you get use to the bumps very quickly.

It is an oasis in a busy town. The staff was extremely friendly and gave us a bottle of champagne and baked us a cake to celebrate our honeymoon. The chicken was memorably good, and the rooms themselves as well as the outdoor pool are both nice.
The drive in is _really_ rough – like rougher than any of the roads we drove on in the Serengeti. The Wifi and TV are also pretty spotty, but that happens throughout Africa, so we were mildly bummed that we couldn't watch the world cup match going on, but not a big deal.

Villa was lovely. Felt very safe and secluded. Staff were also amazing! Very friendly and helpful. Even upgraded our room and cleaned our shoes after the safari. We also enjoyed the food very much. Would highly recommend Villa Arumeru for your stay :)
