Place to be avoided, rooms not as described/advertised, ridiculous rules, unfriendly staff

It would be unfair to say that this is not a decent property, basically having all you need for a short stay in Boquete. But…

There were several things we didn’t like and there are the reasons for evaluating this property as far the most disappointing in last years: - we’ve been traveling across Panama for 15 days and in all accommodations we have firstly received some recommendations, what to see, where to eat, local tips. Panaminan hosts were really nice and helpful. When arriving to Villa Alejandro we received only rules, some of which are really ridiculous. You have to take your shoes off even to approach reception for check in and you are explicitly warn not to dirt towels (wth make up) as cleaning shall in such case be additionaly charged . Guys, it’s a hotel. - once we have been checked in, we have compared the rooms with what we have booked. And paid. And we for sure didn’t received that. We have booked two rooms, both with description that there is a separate living room and a separate bedroom. Well, the room was only one, decent, but quite small. We have chosen the property also because the description stated that there is a washing machine in a room, convenient after week of trekking in Panamian jungle. Guess what, none of the rooms were not equipped with a washing machine. We have made a complaint and the response of the management was - “we are sorry, you are not the first one complaining, but the description on Booking is wrong. However we have seen some other apartments at the property and such with separate rooms exist. We were expecting to receive the rooms we have booked, but the management offered a 30 min massage as compensation, which I did not accept. I can not be bought and customers should not be defrauded and cheated like that . - the room was small and the quality/price performance was far rhe worst in Panama Avoid this place and choose something else in pleasant Boquete

A magic place to feel at home surrounded by beautiful nature nd a sounds of. Steams rain frogs and birds. A most comfortable and beautiful place to be. Everything is perfect to the little detail.

Our favorite place to stay away from home.

Excellent location. Spotless clean. Beautiful landscape. Awesome kitchen facilities. Comfortable mattresses and pillows. Having an air conditioner is a plus.

Sus reglas me parecen absolutamente ilógicas ya que se paga para relajarse no para estar estresado por sus reglas

Bueno les cuento mi experiencia Fue como entra a un museo no se podía tocar nada Si lo tocabas se tenías que limpiar nos hicieron firmar un documento que nos hacíamos responsables de todo y ellos no se hacen responsable de nada Me dijeron que si ensuciaba las toallas me tocaba pagar Ósea como no se ensucia una toalla mi pareja es morena y le dijeron que si las manchaba de maquillaje las tenía que pagar Me pareció un poco resista ese comentario Y ese tema de la limpieza es súper incómodo Para eso se paga para que ellos limpien Pero según ellos el huésped es el que debe limpiar Fue tan incómodo que no dormí bien. Pensado si la cama se manchara con algo y me la cobraran

The outside areas were nice

The tile floor was popping up to where I cut my foot on a tile. The shower head leaked. I was lied to about a credit to use for a massage (paid for it twice basically). Lied to about laundry service costs. Just a greedy owner that will scam & lie to get as much money from every guest

No going back.

When i booked it included private terrace. Which i never got. And the foto was removed later after i booked. Floors squeek like crazy in my room. Seems tile was all loose. No restaurant.

Personal por lo general muy antipático y cero resolutivo.

Las instalaciones estaban bien, nosotras dormimos en un bungalow que tenía todas las comodidades.

El personal muy desagradable. Llegamos para hacer el check-in y no estaba el recepcionista, alegaron que “tuvo un problema con el auto”. Estuvimos esperando hasta que finalmente, como no llegaba, nos facilitó la entrada el personal de limpieza sin indicarnos las normas ni los horarios de salida. De las 2 noches que nos quedamos, en la primera no funcionó ni el wifi ni el agua caliente. Posteriormente al hacer el check out, con 5 horas de margen, vino una de las chicas de la limpieza que tras ver que mi compañera se calzaba las botas dentro del bungalow, al lado justo de la puerta, gritó: “ponerse las botas dentro es un error garrafal”. Nunca nadie nos indicó que no pudiésemos calzarnos dentro y, de hecho, dentro del bungalow, en la puerta, había un cartel donde indicaba que el alojamiento no se hacía responsable de si dejábamos las instalaciones mal cerradas y se colaba o ocasionaba daños algún animal. Tampoco había ningún sitio dónde dejar al cubierto las botas o zapatos fuera del bungalow. Otra de las cosas que nos echó en cara es que una de las toallas estaban sucias en una esquina alegando que habíamos limpiado algo con ellas y que tendríamos penalización por ello.

Excelente hotel. Muy bien ubicado. Antes de llegar nos mandaron un mensaje con un montón de datos útiles, como por ejemplo lugares varios para comer. Tiene una cocina para poder preparar algo si queremos.

Leider nicht mehr als nur die Optik

Die Unterkunft hatte einen sehr großen öffentlichen Bereich zum ausruhen. Die Küche war perfekt zum kochen.

Leider sieht man an der Unterkunft, dass alles nicht sehr sauber ist. Was wir am schlimmsten fanden war, dass man die Schuhe ausziehen mussten obwohl es nicht sauber war.

Suite beyond words

Our suite was beyond words!!!! Completely VIP treatment. It is HUGE and has the best view by far. The room included robes and slippers, hairdryer, a coffee machine and many more items which I can't remember all. Wishes I had the opportunity to stay longer but we only booked here for one night.

Well, the hotel has a check-in time from 15:00 to 21:45. Unfortunately, we were stuck in traffic for more than 4 hours due a protest in Divisa, which clearly was beyond our control. We messaged the hotel to inform our situation and they informed us they were only able to wait for us until 21:45 - despite having charged us the full night a week before - and they need to run it by a supervisor to wait for us longer, which added MORE stress to the situation we were already in. Luckily we were able to get there by 20:00. However I don't know what would have happened it we didn't make it by 21:45. Also, the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, it just something to consider.

Prefect spot to stay closer to nature

The facility is a converted house, so it gives a very cozy experience of living in a home. The facility is very neat and clean. It is slightly away from the main city, which is good in a sense that one is closer to the nature and hear and see lots a birds flying and singing. The view from the property is superb.

Everything was beautifully presented and the staff were very helpful. The location very quiet and was about 10-12 mins to town.

We like places with breaky included as it’s faster and more convenient when we travel by motorcycle.

Exceptional

This place is amazing! Definitely the best accommodation out of five during our trip in Panama. The photos spa not do this place justice. Everything was 5 stars, the staff, the place, the view, the garden, the location. We walked downtown Boquete in a few short minutes. The room we rented was HUGE and very clean. The bathroom was very large and had lots of hot water. There were robes and slippers. It felt like a 5-star hotel. It is a very interesting concept - it is like a small hotel (5 rooms plus a cabana) but you share a beautiful living room and kitchen. Each room has their own coffee maker and a space in the refrigerator. We also utilized their sister property a few movies up the road. They have a spa, and we got massages on a rainy afternoon after a hike. We received 20% off due to being guests at the Alejandro properties. The massage was also 5 stars. We ate pleasantly surprised and we can't wait to come back. Thank you Olga and Alejandro for making us feel so at home.

The negatives outweighed the positives for us.

villa is very nice, good interior design, lovely garden and the room was huge with excellent views.

No shoes inside rule is bad health and safety, trying to carry 2 big suitcase up polished stairs in slippers provided. no safe for valuables and passports and the window/sliding door doesn't lock, the staff told me it was safe! Couldn't sleep worrying, had to carry our passports with us. This is a simple issue to sort for guests. No sanitiser in rooms, only in reception, this meant guests were not sanitising. I think this is important during a pandemic with world travellers using the room. Cobweb hanging from the light, holes in sheet. villa location is 10 minutes walk from town, okay in day, but not at night.

Beautiful house, lovely setting but not quite perfect.

This is a lovely building In beautiful gardens and Boquete is a gorgeous little town. Our suite was spacious with a nice kitchen and a large, comfortable bed. It is essentially a self-catering aparthotel so facilities are limited but decent coffee was provided free so if you understand what you’re booking (no breakfast etc) then this place is absolutely fine.

Unfortunately the property seems to have water leak problems. Water leaked through our ceiling from the suite above and for a while we had to have a bucket to catch the water. We could see evidence of previous repairs so this seems to be an ongoing problem.

On the picture the rooms look much bigger. Design but not very practical. Ik you for instance want to put in the Light during the night. it is really hard to find. Other side of te bed no Light at all. Not allowed to weer shoes
