About this lodge
The Old Wood Yard is a brand new, architecturally designed luxury, wooden clad eco-lodge. Featuring high vaulted ceilings, making it feel warm, and light with a sense of space.
The lodge is located just a few minutes from the pretty village of Docking, and is a perfect bolthole for holidaying couples to enjoy all year round for a short break, mid week stay or even longer break. Docking is situated just 4 miles from the beautiful sandy Brancaster beach, it has a village pub ,shop, fish and chip shop and children's playground.
It makes a perfect base to explore the North Norfolk Coast with it's excellent beaches-Holkham, Brancaster, and Wells-next-the-sea.
The charming Georgian village of Burnham Market, is only 6 miles away, where you will find stylish independent boutiques ,antique shops, galleries, and lovely pubs/restaurants ,which surround the pretty village green.
The Sandringham Estate, Holkham Hall, Blickling Hall and Houghton Hall are all within easy reach.
The RSPB bird and wildlife reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham are also close by.
There are lovely walks in the area-on the Peddar's Way and also along the North Norfolk Coastal Path.
You will be spoilt for choice for eating out, as there are many quality restaurants and deli's in the area. The award winning Duck Inn at Stanhoe is just a five minute drive away.

Fabulous place. Host was responsive, not that we needed anything. The property is well appointed. Would absolutely stay here again.The only thing (and I feel bad for saying anything negative because it really is a wonderful place) is that the beds are queens, not kings. Didn't matter for us, but I do know some people who need king size beds, which is what's on the listing.
