Ruth and her son William were so welcoming, helpful and very friendly. It was lovely to meet them and stay in their beautiful home. Our room was very light and airy and the larger than normal shower was a bonus. Ruth offered us the option of a freshly cooked English breakfast in the mornings (for an additional cost) and it was lovely. Parking is on the street outside but it's a fairly quiet area/road so our car was very safe and we didn't have any issues finding a space. We would definitely book again if we went back to Exmouth.

This is a lovely b&b, incredibly comfortable bed, great pillows, powerful shower and delicious breakfast.

I booked HEDGEBANK through Booking.com. I searched the website for a B&B in Exmouth, Hedgebank was top of the list with exceptional reviews particularly the excellent cooked breakfast with generous portions. Parking was a bit tight on the property, we were greeted by Jo. After bringing in our luggage we were heading out to meet our friend, I asked what time was breakfast to be told they didn't do beakfast!! A bit of a shock and 2 x £34 breakfasts later added to the cost of our 2 day break. I contacted Booking.com who replied that it was clear on the payment receipt that there was no breakfast, a bit late when we had already paid!!! So please beware future people considering booking THERE IS NO BREAKFAST!
As advertised as B&B we expected a breakfast. The room was quite small just a rack to hang clothes and a dressing table for ladies instead of a large chest of drawers that was taller than me! would have been better.The room was totally exposed to the house opposite, so should have had obscure curtains or blinds in place. The complimentary tea and coffee was minimal and was not replaced for the second day, we had to ask for more milk and the used teabags were still in place, the room had not been serviced. On the positive side the bed was very comfortable with good bedding and pillows.
