I liked that there is a separate 'womans' room at the back, because the other room that you can stay, you have to walk through to get to the womens room. The main bedroom is also in the same area as the toilets and showers etc, so I can imagine gets a little loud with constant foot traffic. Staff very helpful and organised a day trip for me

Not a very big place and therefore not a lot of room to feel comfortable to hang out. The main bedroom is in an area that is also part of the toilets/showers etc.. so if staying there, lots of foot traffic and noise from people walking through. The pillows need to be changed, as they are a hard slab of foam, which gives neck problems. I used my travel pillow the whole time I was there.

The washrooms are always leaking. Breakfast is a couple pieces of colourful pastry’s. Not enough for everyone

Perfect location! It is in the heart of town and within a 2min walk of multiple dive agencies and restaurants, orange stores and local markets. Only 10-15mins walk from the Dragon Inn (tourist boardwalk where you sometimes need to depart from for dives and island tours). The hostel has 2 rooms with capsule beds and has the perfect combination of privacy and social. Whilst the social space is small, it has a comfortable intimacy and met our social needs that had been previously lacking at other hostels. Aircon works very well - blankets are a bit thin but fine if you double up with a travel shawl. They also have a fantastic clothes line in the bathroom area with a fan on them. Bathers and clothes were always dry by the next morning! They have lockers for valuables in the front office space. And below bed cupboards for bags but most of us just lined our bags against the wall for ease of access. Staff go out each morning to purchase a small breakfast of local treats for people to try. 2 gorgeous cats live here as well. Shower has good pressure but please be mindful of Semporna's water shortages as evidenced by the water tanks everywhere. Originally planned to stay 2nights but extended to 4. Thank you Tempo Ext for a wonderful stay!!

Shower stalls are a little dated, but they match the overall environment of Semporna and it didn't actually affect our stay.

Nice staff and good location, private cubby hole bed. Female dorm is very sheltered from front entrance

Photos give impression it is in better condition than it is. In need of maintenance - peeling paint everywhere, light in my bed did not work and flickered when I turned the switch on suggesting unsafe electrics. Lockers under bed cannot be locked. Woke up to cockroach by my bed. No soap by sink for washing hands. Shower extremely weak
