There are two saving graces to this property; the mother who came to help and its cleanliness. You’ll be able to take a hot shower and spend a safe night here.
This is one of those places where the host tries to manage remotely. Ghost hosting, And then doesn’t. I repeatedly said that I would be there at 4 PM, that I was walking, that I would have no other way to communicate so to please meet me there. The host perhaps didn’t read these multiple notes sent the day before. And the day before that. So I waited for an hour and a half - no-show. Then I walked to a place where I could get Wi-Fi only to find the host simply had to text me the code to get in. And for whatever reason didn’t think to tell me that. She had implied that someone was meeting me there. So it was exhausting and frustrating and I had hiked 15 miles with a heavy pack at that point. I really needed a shower and some food. And Sunday everything was closed. All said, her mother on the other hand was lovely and caring. And I was able to do one load of laundry with her help. A kindness.
