Absolutely amazing accommodation that exceeded all of our expectations. The owners were extremely nice and made us feel really welcomed. The place itself was clean, modern and beautifully decorated. We also took advantage of the sauna which was just perfect after a full day of hiking. What really set this experience apart was the food. Both the dinners (consisting of five courses) and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious, made freshly every day and sourced from local products. (Our favorites were the cornballs and the corn soup!) Overall, our stay was just really fabulous. Thank you so much for making us feel so comfortable and relaxed! We hope to be back one day.

My Spouse and I have been traveling in Japan for 3 weeks, Ronenai base is without question the highlight of the trip. The hosts show hospitality that is the best we have ever experienced. The facility is incredibly well designed with hand carved wood and pieces throughout. There is a wood burning sauna, a spring water fed cold plunge, a hot tub, and a traditional Japanese shower. After a day of exploring the mountains, hiking, and biking, these amenities these amenities were truly incredible.
The Food. We have eaten at incredible places throughout Japan for the past 3 weeks, I am not exaggerating when we say our favorite food was the feels that Sheesa cooked for us. Both the dinners and breakfasts are incredibly filling, full of locally grown produce, well balanced, and healthy. Hands down the best meals of the entire trip.

Lovely self run stay, small room that was kept very clean and spotless. Overall very clean and nice property with a delicious breakfast. The sauna, hot and cold baths were also such a nice detailed touch that we enjoyed. I can only imagine how beautiful and cozy this would be in winter!
