We enjoyed staying at this resort because the beach was private and only a couple other families on the beach at the most. I saw a sign where they will build a new resort close by so don't know how long that will last. The beach was beautiful but we were eaten up by sand flies (I guess). We used OFF but it didn't help. We are both covered in bites. We went 12/2023.
The unit seemed clean. The communication was fast. It looks just like the pictures. You can see the ocean from the front terrace but just a smidge of it. Unit was private. There were lots of bushes behind us. One bedroom had a view of the hallway to the next unit, but we just closed the curtains.
There was no water but owner had it turned on right away. There was no hot water. The owner had that fixed but it only lasted a short time on the first day.
We are from Texas and accustomed to triple degree weather but also accustomed to a/c so we asked to have it turned on, which the owner did right away. We saw multiple dead roaches but at least they were dead.
There is a 2 mile dirt road to get to the resort but dirt is compacted. It rained one day and we had no trouble getting to the resort in small car.
Besides the few hiccups, we had a great time and would definitely stay there again.
Locals are very friendly and speak English.
We visited three restaurants that were reasonable, clean and had great food - Las Brisas, Mango Reef and Chalkie's.

The condo was very clean and it had everything we needed including beach chairs and snorkel equipment. The beds and sofa were very comfortable. I enjoyed sitting outside in the morning on the patio.
The resort was very quiet and peaceful. There was a beautiful pool and hot tub that we had to ourselves most of the time. We enjoyed walking on the beach and using the resort's kayak and paddleboard.
I hope to return again soon!

We spent an adult couples week in July 2023. Everything is exactly as described. The property is located near the far end of the island. The resort was easy to find and we never minded the 20 or so minutes drive down the dirt road to access downtown. The bedrooms were comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could ever need. The water cooler/dispenser was most useful ! And the couch was comfy for a nap.
We loved the large pool and the beach amenities. We used the kayaks and paddle boards available to all. We took advantage of the snorkeling equipment provided by the host. We had our own private dinner / party in the empty restaurant /bar onsite. The gas grills worked perfectly for cooking.. The host was very responsive and available if needed.
If you are looking to get away from the busy resorts and have peace and quiet ... This is the place for you. It's easy to drive 20+ minutes to Grace Bay and the main strip. Most resorts offer "day passes" if you want to mix in the quiet atmosphere with an active day at an all inclusive.
We drove to Malcolm beach public access to have less wind and calm water for snorkeling. Walking the nearby national park was pleasant. I also will never forget the sunrise from our beach.
You must have a rental car. We had a tiny rental and we easily avoided the pot holes on the long dirt road. Do not try to go down the adjacent national park dirt road without a jeep. We can't wait to visit again soon. Thank you!

We visited for Spring Break 2023 with our 3 kids- ages 17, 15, 12. If you are looking for laid back, off the beaten path, away from the hustle and bustle- this place is for you. It's a good 15-20 minutes down a 3 mile dirt/gravel road to get anywhere. But we didn't mind, it's exactly what we wanted! We loved the property. The ocean is beautiful, the pool is clean and well maintained, the hot tub nice and hot! The staff is very friendly. We loved watching every sunrise every morning, seeing the sting ray, watching Peter (the pelican) fly by, turtles, conch shells.
The condo itself is very nice. A couch in the living room that folds out to a king bed was handy for our youngest. Food on the island is expensive, be prepared. You'll need to rent a car if you stay here, it takes a constant reminder to drive on the left side of the road! If you go, you should check out the Fish Fry in town on Thursday evenings- food, vendors, live music. Lunch/Dinner at Las Brisas with boat/snorkel ride of Chalk Sound with Adler. Check out Taylors Bay, Sapodilla Bay Beach for sunset, Smith's Reef for snorkeling, walk to the tip of the island to see the sunset. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!!

Hi Ron.
We enjoyed our stay on the island, and thank you for renting out your condo to us.
We do have a few remarks about the condo.
We would like to send you a list of items that need updating. We will not post these now. Please contact me so that I can send you the list.
We certainly realize there are drawbacks to every rental however we thought we should make you aware of these.

Excellent condo, has all of the necessary amenities for a longer stay. Very quiet but a car is quite necessary to access shopping and dining. Far away from the hustle and bustle.

We had a really wonderful stay here. We loved that it was away from everything and peaceful and quiet. The pool is extraordinary. The hot tub is nice. The beach is beautiful plenty of umbrellas and chairs. Our condo was nice and we were able to cook meals and relax in the evening. We really had a great time. Ron was an excellent host and communicated well with us. We’ll be back.

My husband and I visited Turks and Caicos as a trip for just the two of us without our children for the first time ever! We chose this property because it was remote and we wanted to escape the "busy-ness." This property was perfect for that! It was quiet at all times and the majority of the time we were the only ones out by the water right outside the resort. It was clean and beautiful. And we did not mind the drive down the dirt road at all either. =)

The water didn’t work when we arrived, we contacted Ron, and he was quick to alert the maintenance team about it. The problem was resolved quickly. Other than that, the room was great. No problems. The pool was great, perfect for young children. The resort is quiet, great for someone looking to just chill by the pool without the crowds. We were almost the only ones staying there. Would stay there again.

Place was very nice. We were in a nice private area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It took only 20 to 25 minutes to get around the island. The room had everything we needed. If you want to travel and don't want the touristy area, this is the place for you. Loved the pool and hot tub. I recommend this place.

Paradise
The property was great. Super clean and maintained. There is a pool, hot tub and the beach is steps away. The neach area was beautiful and super relaxing and it was rare to run into other guests so we often had the beach to ourselves. Chairs and loungers were set up every morning and we had use of the paddleboards and kayaks anytime we wanted them. There is even a hammock to enjoy the ocean breeze from..
The condo was wonderful, well decorated and had everything we needed from dishes, a washer a dryer dryer, towels and even beach items like snorkel sets and beach chairs. We had no issues and any questions we had we got a speedy reply from Phil. 10/10 would stay again.

Great Secluded Property
We enjoyed the private condo and highly recommend a car to view the Island, including Grace Bay Beach which is an awesome beach. Phil and Dominic were very helpful and timely to answer all of my questions!

Great condo, beautiful sunrises
Phil was an excellent host, very responsive and reassuring during crazy covid times. It was great having extra space in a condo vs a hotel, with plenty of choices for sleeping arrangements. The first floor was also key with a stroller. The condo is a bit far from restaurants and the on site restaurant was closed so we did quite a bit of daily driving. However, the distance made for lots of peace and quiet and we had the pool and beach to ourselves frequently. Loved the kayaks!

We loved our stay at Northwest Point Resort. The location was ideal for us: far enough away to be quiet and private yet close enough to enjoy everything Providenciales has to offer. The condo was well-kept, the grounds were gorgeous, the pool was fantastic, and the beach was beautiful. It was the perfect option for our family. We happened to be there during the Coronavirus scare of 2020, and Phil, the owner, was incredibly accommodating and flexible with us. Can't say enough good things about Phil, and highly recommend him and Northwest Point.

We stayed in Wheeland Settlement for the first time and truly enjoyed our stay. This is a great place to stay as long as you have a car. It only takes about 15 minutes to get into grace bay. Phil was most accommodating and his place was an enjoyable stay.

Quiet, beautiful resort
The Northwest Point Resort was off the beaten path, quiet, and the perfect getaway. We enjoyed our stay in Phil's unit - everything was available in the well-appointed condo (even a huge supply of previous guests' coffee filters ... read: you probably don't need to buy these at the grocery!). The restaurant on property provided a nice lunch and a few good drinks, but definitely plan on cooking or traveling into Provo for most meals. We walked all the way to the northern point of the island for some snorkeling, a beautiful view, and relaxation. Our favorite restaurants in Provo included Hole in the Wall, Coco Bistro, Da Conch Shack, Bugaloo's, and Mr. Grouper's. Other travelers noted that you should stop at the grocery store on the way out of town - if we had room in the car, we would have done this... would have been smart! Plan around 30 minutes to get from the resort into Provo.
This was our first trip to TCI and hopefully won't be the last! Thanks for the great accommodations, Phil!

Only thing the way to come in to the property should be paved.

A secluded bit of paradise
We stayed as a family of 4 (2 kids 13 & 9) in Phil's place for a week in late March/early April 2019 & enjoyed our stay; our first to TCI. Phil was a fantastic host, even working with me when I had to change my stay details late in the game. The condo is nicely appointed with all basics needed available & has a glimpse of an oceanview from the patio & bedroom. The patio is nice in the evening with a breeze & the rooms have ceiling fans. Both the beds are queen but you could easily get two people on the sofa/sectional.
The pool area is nice & was of primary use for us as we ventured to other beaches since the one at NW Point was pretty covered with seaweed. I don't know if that's a seasonal thing but we saw some of it at Grace Bay as well but not to the same level. We actually never ate in the restaurant but did get drinks from Eddy & found him to be great. The best part was there was never a rush to get to the pool or beach or anywhere to get a spot. It was amazing to have the place almost to yourselves.
All of the recos about getting your groceries before getting to NW Point are true. We made 3 stops in a week to Graceway IGA in between trips to the ferry, Grace Bay, etc. The prices are eyewatering to those from the States but we packed an entire suitcase of food & wine for us & filled it in with fresh items at IGA which worked out great. One of the best parts of TCI is getting in the car & going to explore different beaches & places so it wasn't a complete loss not having the beach regularly but it's worthy to keep in mind.
We'd absolutely stay at Phil's place again & highly recommend him as a communicative host.

Great place and great time, not a great transaction
We had a great time in Turks and Caicos. This condo is located on the west side of the island, a couple of miles down a dirt road. It is the perfect place to visit if you want quiet and beach largely to yourself, as there are no other resorts nearby. The pool and hot tub were nice and the restaurant on site was convenient and the proprietor was a good guy, even if he was often out of key menu items. Providenciales is small so even though we were off the beaten path it was no more than a 20 minute drive to the busier side of the island.
The condo itself was comfortable and clean and well supplied. It could use a bit of an update - some of the blinds were falling apart, the toaster did not work, etc. But given the price compared to our other options I think it was a great deal and well maintained. What was not okay was getting canceled on by the owner with no explanation just three weeks before our trip, even though we had paid in full. When I inquired, he said the unit only slept four and we had five people. That seemed like an odd explanation given that the unit was advertised as sleeping five. For whatever reason the owner changed his mind and re-booked us, but we lost money on the change in the exchange rate and also spent hours on the phone with VRBO's horrendous customer service trying to get reimbursed for their fee, which mysteriously increased between the first time we booked and when we rebooked.
At the time we booked the place, it was advertised as coming with a car for special price. I inquired with the owner multiple times about this during the months before the trip and never received a response. At one point I received a bill through PayPal but it did not say what it was for. I inquired if it was for the car and received no response. A few days before our trip I inquired one last time and the owner said I could receive a 10% discount from a rental agency if I mentioned I booked with him. The agency did not have any cars available, so we had to book elsewhere and spent an extra $325 on the vehicle.
I still have no earthly idea why he canceled on us, so despite the wonderful time and location I cannot give this place a good review. Nor can I ever imagine using VRBO again - their customer service agents told multiple falsehoods, hung up on us, and were generally unwilling to help refund us the extra fee until our 7th call. Only my wife's eternal patience and positivity made us whole.

Excellent quite place
The place was great, very secluded private and safe resort. All the other guests were very friendly and helpful. The site has a pool, hot tub, and restaurant. The best part its ocean front . Phil was very easy to communicate with and the condo has everything you need.

Great stay
This was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet and no crowds. Phil was great about answering our questions before we arrived and his directions were spot on. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially with a flat tire on the car rental shortly before we were to leave.

Relaxing Retreat
We stayed at this property for a week with our 3 children and enjoyed the relaxing, remote location. A car is necessary while staying at this resort to visit the Grace Bay beaches and attractions, as well as other remote beaches/snorkeling spots. We rented a four door sedan and found it would be helpful to have an SUV or similar to traverse the rocky, out of town roads. The pool was wonderful and the beach at the property was very private. We often walked long distances in both directions without encountering any other wanderers. This beach did have more seaweed than some of the other beaches like Grace Bay but also had a nice, constant sea breeze. There were plenty of chairs at the beach and pool. Chef Eddie provided great food at the restaurant but there is no beach or pool wait service here. We stocked up on supplies and beverages at the local grocery stores (Graceway IGA and Graceway Gourmet) but expect higher island prices (example: $10+ for 12 pack of soda and $8-9 per box of cereal). We loved visiting the beaches at Grace Bay, Sopadilla Bay, and the Thursday night Fish Fry at Bight Park. We went on the half day Island Vibes Tour and had a wonderful time. Pros of the unit: roomy, washer/dryer in unit, beach towels provided, comfortable sofa, very affordable. Things to consider: expect remote location with gravel road to get to resort, unit itself could use updating, unit does not have direct ocean view. Phil was very responsive and easy to work with when booking the vacation. He gave detailed information with directions, places to eat, and beach/snorkel spots. We booked our rental car through Alamo and was told upon arrival that despite having a reservation, they did not have a vehicle for us. Many other vacationers arriving when we did encountered the same problem with the other rental companies. Thankfully, Quality Car Rental was able to give us a car, and some of the owners at the property recommended Grace Bay Car Rental for future travel as they guarantee to have a vehicle available for your reservation. Overall, we loved Provo and would definitely stay on this property again!

Condo was very nice and well equipped. The pool and beach were beautiful.
This was our first time to Turks and Caicos and our stay at Phil's condo was great. The condo was a good distance away from everything, so if you are looking for a place that is peaceful and away from the tourist area, this is the place for you. We were there during off season and it was like we had this luxurious beach and pool to ourselves. There were kayaks and a paddle board for anyone staying at the resort to use for free. Nice lounge chairs on the beach that are covered. Large pool and hot tub. The complex was very well maintained. Our only disappointment was that the restaurant and bar at the complex was not open due to the hurricane last year. It is a good distance to travel back and forth to the grocery and resteraunts. The prices of groceries and beer was a real shock, Everything was about tripled the prices we are use to paying. The Snorkeling and scuba diving on the island was amazing. Phil Archer was very easy to work with and we would definitely rent from him again.

Beautiful well kept condo complex!
Phils condo was very clean, comfortable with all the necessities of home. The resort could be considered off the beaten track but really everything is within a 10-15 minute drive however a vehicle is necessary. A vehicle is necessary anywhere you would stay on the island so you can explore the island and truly experience Provo. Phil was excellant to deal with! His condo is very well priced as compared to most accommodations on Provo. He answered all emails promptly and gave great advice! Loved it there and hope to return!

Great island getaway!
Spacious unit. Well maintained. Well appointed. As advertised, resort is secluded and car rental a must. The beds are comfy and the sectional is perfect for mid aft nap or evening read. Our family of 3 happily flopped out together! Patio was a welcome space for a few rainy days and escape from the midday sun. Don't bother with the gym on a rainy day. It's the place where old gym equipment goes to die. Beach walking is the obvious choice! Fyi - front reception has life jackets available for sign out if you need some snorkelling support. We highly recommend Malcolm's Beach its stunning beauty and Smith's Reef for amazing snorkelling. Sharkbite at Turtle Cove was the family favourite! Phil, your info package and recommendations were excellent and thanks for a great break from winter.
