Arrived to a dark alley. Several adult men hanging around in alley. Unidentified man knew the code to the lockbox where key to the door was and opened it for us. Very unsafe feelung neighborhood. Dog barking. Windows to bedrooms faced outside corridor and had no bars for safety.

it was close to the airport and it was cheap.

very noisy neighbourhood, uncomfortable sofas and beds.

I didn’t get to stay at the property.

Property is located in a very poor neighborhood. Houses on the street look like part of slums. On arrival, taxi driver asked me to double check the address because it didn’t look like it was the right place. I also had a bad feeling about it. I knock on the door and nobody answered the door. I tried calling the property but my phone didn’t work, I kept getting some recording saying number couldn’t be reached. I realized there was a lock by the door with for the keys, exposed for anyone on the street to open if they know the code. The whole thing felt like a scam. Given that I was bringing my family along, with small kids, and we clearly look like foreigners, we could be easy targets for robbery. I did not find it safe. The taxi driver also told me I better not stay there and offered me to take me to a proper hotel nearby free of charge. I agreed and got a hotel room instead. Unfortunately I couldn’t cancel the stay. So I paid for nothing.
