I stayed here with our family for 3 nights in 2 rooms. It's a quiet location inside a standard kibbutz. There's a store where you can buy all kinds of goods which was super helpful because we forgot stuff on a regular basis.
It's the kind of place where your kids can wander around and you don't have to feel worried about anything happening.,
Once you're parked on site there is no reason to get back into your car because all the amenities are no more than a 5 minute walk.
The rooms were clean and while they were a bit small, we didn't need to spend much time there. Each room has a kitchenette with a mini-fridge and a hot plate which was great for cooking. BBQ sites are nearby and you can cook your foods whenever you want. AC in each unit worked well so outside the sweltering heat we were able tos till keep cool.
There were not many other guests present while we were there and the staff was very responsive to an inquiries. Rooms are not adjoining, but adjacent to each other which was fine. Cleaning staff was very professional and we got clean towels every day, which was great.
The pool... hours.
We primarily went because of the price and proximity to a pool.
Turns out the pool is run by the Kibbutz and the hours are weird. like 7 to 11 am then 4 to 7 pm.. or 4 to 7 pm only. Nothing during the day.. so the hope of hanging out by the pool and letting the kids mess about... gone.
They said they can't do anything about the hours so here's your notice.
The location..
While the location is quiet and easy to navigate, when there is no pool, there's basically nothing to do for older kids.
There's horse stables on site, but there's no riding outside the ring, so who wants to ride around in circles for 30 minutes.. not us or the horses, so we passed on that.
In the summer it's so hot, you can't spend a lot of the day outside so you've got to plan trips. Thos trips require you to get in your car and drive somewhere for 15 to 30 minutes. If you're ok with that then you';re good. We went to a big water park in Ofakim for more than half a day and then spent time in Beer Sheva at a shopping center and went to a movie.
If you can figure out what you're going to do with your kids instead of hanging around then you're gonna be good.

הצוות של מאנדרא הם אלופים, המקום מטופח ושמור.
והקשר עם הצוות מעולה, אכפת להם מכל דבר.
המארחת ג'ולי הייתה מדהימה, אלופה ממש
השקיעה זמן בכדי למצוא פתרון שיתאים לנו ,
המקום מדהים, יש כאן בית קפה מדהים שפתוח בשישי ושבת,
שחובה לבקר בו.
יש בקיבוץ קניונית טובה עם כל טוב ובמחירים סבירים
מקום שכייף להגיע אליו במיוחד עם צוות כזה.
מקום מצויין, חסר ארוחת בוקר של המקום
יחד עם זאת הבית קפה "קפה בקיבוץ" במקום נותן מענה מושלם.

מתאים מאוד למשפחות. קרוב לרפת וחוות סוסים. נעים ופסטורלי. חדרים פשוטים אך מספקים לשהיה.
חוסר רגישות לגבי המלחמה -הגענו מנהריה וביקשנו לצמצם חדר התנו באישור בוקינג וכאשר בוקינג אישרו סירבו להחזיר בטענה שאלו הנהלים. . לא היו גמישים.
במקלחת אין מקלחון סגור והמים זורמים אל החדר. כמות הציוד במטבחון קטנה. נאמר לנו שהחדרים ינוקו אבל בפועל הדבר לא בוצע ורק לאחר שפנינו בצהרים מיוזמתינו זה קרה. תקשורת לא יעילה דרך הוואטסאפ.
