A quaint, older-style cottage, with relaxing lounge and dining areas - especially enjoyable to sit outside on the deck under the umbrella and reading on the daybed in the sunroom. It had all the amenities you need for a holiday - functional kitchen with a nice big island bench and big fridge, and full sets of utensils and crockery and washing-up equipment; bathroom has good shower pressure and temperature; bedrooms (sleeping 6-7 in total) are bright and comfortable. The laundry is handy for a quick refresh of towels mid-stay. Modern smart TV, good wifi; comfortable climate control; handy small selection of games and nice little shaded front yard.
Location is excellent - While up the hill a little, it's less than a 5-minute walk to the supermarket (and closest coffee shop), 10 minutes to Main Street shops or swing bridge, 10-15 to main beach and life-saving club. Handy driveway off-street parking plus a small amount of street parking out the front - didn’t need a car for our stay except for visiting other towns and walks.
Nice to have some chocolates, milk, juice, and coffee as a little welcome pack.
The cottage is a little cozy for groups of adults; two bedrooms are very close to lounge so sound - like squeaky floorboards and TV - travels easily; a few areas of the house are a bit worn out.
