It was a nice surprise off the main road. We walked into a paradise and I had not realised the property was right on the beach. We had everything we needed. Ou host was very welcoming even at 11pm she gave us a tour of the property. There were homemade biscuits and fresh fruit and RakiRaki left for us

The location was excellent and the terrace and sunloungers overlooking the beach were stunning. Owners let us have a late check out which was much appreciated and fresh fruit.
The owners double booked the first night of our stay despite us booking in February 2026. They put us in alternative accomodation the first night but we missed 24 hours of our holiday. The villa was very tired and needed a renovation. Not very clean. The 4 bedrooms is actually 2 bedrooms with a mezzanine floor with bed in each which is not clear from the description. Some sockets were coming out of the wall and hissing when used which was dangerous along with the gradient of the steps up to each of the mezzanine levels which were also dangerous.

The beachfront and pool are lovely
The walk to town was a bit long some days. We didn’t have a car and to find out, cars are really needs on Crete because there are fees taxis. The glass doors on the bathroom made privacy difficult at times.

This is probably one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed in Rethymno. We’ve been coming to Rethymno for many years now, and this villa is a real standout. It genuinely ticks every box.
It’s within walking distance of the fabulous town, has a stunning swimming pool on one side, and spectacular beach access on the other. Then there’s the villa itself, which is absolutely beautiful. It’s spotless, has everything you could possibly need, and feels like a real home away from home.
A huge thank you to Stavros and Athena for the personal touch they added throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, they regularly checked in to make sure everything was perfect and that we were enjoying both the villa and our holiday. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their hospitality really made our stay even more special.
We honestly can’t recommend this villa or its hosts highly enough. We’ve already booked again for next year, and we can’t wait to come back!
