We stayed in the Kumamon bear room and had a wonderful stay. The food was amazing for both dinner and breakfast. The hotel did not have free flow or evening cocktails but you could purchase a drink package with dinner that wasn't terribly expensive but it seems it almost should have been included. The hotel is in a pretty area, staff were very helpful and the onsen was very nice. We would definitely stay here again!

If hotel could run the transfer bus to Aso train station more frequently, that would be a great help

In general the hotel is not clean.
When I booked the hotel didn’t inform that hot spring only one available due to upgrade. It needs to be rota between women and men. Very disappointing
$$$$
