The price/performance ratio is great, which is why we gave it a high rating. The place is quite basic—no extravagance. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, with a big fridge and a huuuuuge table/living room area. The kitchen/living room/table were so large that at first, we thought they might be shared with other guests.
While the shower seemed a bit improvised at first glance, it worked well and had hot water.
Overall, if you're planning to sleep there for just a few days, have a few snacks in the kitchen, and spend most of your time on tours, it’s a great deal.
We were a bit worried because the windows didn’t fully close and weren’t equipped with mosquito nets. However, apart from a few flies and some ants, no insects actually made it into the accommodation—so it turned out fine.
Also, the AC—which works very well—is located directly above the bed. If you want to stay cool at night without catching a cold, we suggest adjusting the airflow direction. For us, setting it to the top position in automatic mode with a slightly higher temperature did the trick.

The size and the amenities. I had the whole downstairs area - dining space with well equipped kitchen and a couple of couches with a TV. This space had no aircon but two fans circulated the air well enough. Then there was the sleeping quarters which are air conditioned comprising one double bed and a bunk bed. Plus of course a bathroom. Huge.

Sura and her sister were great and really helped us with our forward planning, the place is nice, clean, good air conditioning and right by the bus terminal and supermarket and 1 block from the centre of town.

The owner is kind and generous. Surah offered to do my laundry, provide fresh bedding and clean the accommodation daily. The grounds are well groomed. Walking distance to shopping, beaches, livestock ranches, the rain forest, groceries and everyday needs. I especially enjoyed the upper deck watching fantastic thunder storms. Other wonderful experiences was listening to the morning birds, and the early morning then evening migration of the parrots to and from the rain forest and beach. Was a very pleasurable time. Thank you Surah House.
