I enjoyed the location being in city near everything.
The manager was OCD after I’d had a bad bike accident, almost died. She told me I was being dramatic when I informed her I’d ruined the sheets but would buy new ones. Which I did. I didn’t appreciate that.

The town of Pahoa is really unique. The locals are very friendly and kind. We loved Koas lounge and Pele’s in town. The cats on the patio are sweet sweet angels. The showers are nice and clean with good pressure and hot water. The coqui frogs are noisy but we had a great time trying to find them!
The vibe is more of a shared air bnb than a hostel. 3 different codes for 3 different doors were sent in a message. We stayed 3 nights/4 days and never saw any staff.
